I get 5000BP experience, and before I used to get 5 loot boxes.
So yeah, it’s always been useful.

It effects battlepass XP though. The higher the endorsement rank, the more XP you get after a match.
Wish they didn’t take away categories and remove the endorsement from your portrait,
but you know Blizz, they remove a metric ton of stuff for no reason
Right now it useless, you get exp for the battle pass that’s it unless your level 5 then you get 1 entire level not even a icon or coins just a level.
Not sure if it just me but has anyone else been having their endorsement level go to 4 then one match later back to 3? Even when getting endorsements it just goes right back to down even if the match is a win.

It was great in OW1. If you only logged in on events, your endorsement level would drop and when you returned you would level up and receive 3 event loot boxes. I miss those days. New endorsement levels don’t do anything

I really like endorsement levels. I check them as I get into the match. Let’s me know what to expect from my teammates.
I endorse players based on how well they worked with the team. I don’t always base it on the stats screen at the end. I do my best to recognize who made the big plays possible, which is not necessarily the one making the big play.
Instead of the Pharrah who rocketed people in groups, I’ll give it to the brig who kept working the outside edge of the enemy team to keep them cordoned together.
Instead of the orisa who kept pushing them off the cliff on lijiang, I’ll give it to the widow who was forcing the enemy team to take that path.
Endorsements given for the right reasons can give us an idea of which teammates are dependable, and if you’re like me, you look at a string of matches where you didn’t get an endorsement and work on doing better.

No it doesn’t because level 2 or 3 could just mean they didn’t play for a long time and came back to OW2
Another reason could be that they play heroes people don’t like… for example I’m level 3 because nobody endorses me as I main Moira 
Oh and in higher ranks barely anyone endorses and it’s rare to see anyone higher than 3 lol
Judging off endorsement levels is like judging your win based on someone’s border, doesn’t mean anything and just makes you misjudge the game and put you in the wrong mindset

I flip back and forth between 3 and 4 pretty regularly. My take-away from that is that I am inconsistent. I will definitely pick my character based on the map first and team comp second. Of course I’ll change based on enemy team comp as well… But I’ll be damned if I’m going to switch just to better complement that doomfist or Hammond unless the rest of the team also starts playing aggressively. I will always work with whatever the majority of my team is doing. If we have genji, tracer, doomfist, then I’m kiriko or Lucio. But if we have widow, bastion, rein, I’m definitely starting with Zen and adjusting from there.

The system sucks, it needs to go away and if you’re grouped with 4 others how do you get any?
I have never in my hundreds of hours in OW1 and OW2 seen anyone be flamed for endorsement levels. 
Not to say it doesn’t happen, just that if it does, it seems to be so rare there are a thousand more pressing issues of toxicity before it.
At any rate, I like it. It would like some small reward for using it so people would do it more. Endorsing good players or people with good attitudes and not endorsing the toxic ones feels like I’m making a tiny little difference in people’s lives.

In Unranked play in ow1 someone was bashing me for having lvl 1 endorsement - I cannot help it lol but now its not clearly visible anymore unless they right click you
Level 5 of endorsement here. Don’t ask me how (I play Moira 70% of the time and get threatened of reports pretty constantly).
I suppose that if I can make it again to Diamon next season, it will drop to 2 or 3 max…
When I got 5000xp as a reward, I understood there’s one less thing to care about.
I am going to strive to maintain lvl 1 - this is how im going to opt out of it .

They need to fix them: too many examples of players receiving an endorsement and their level going down.
I think I would like to see them fix the match making before anything else.
I get endorsements all the time, in QP. And I play Moira. Do you only play comp? But you’d never know from my profile. I’m always at level 1. Since I leave backfill, crap MM games, and Push.
Endorsements made sense during LFG if you wanted to filter by endorsement level, but now it’s just kind of there. I guess it’s the only post-game interaction left
Remember the Red “Honorable Opponent” Ribbon back in League of Legends? People saw it as the Red Feeder Award Ribbon. Players only respected Green and Blue Ribbons. Ahhh those were the days.
That’s why they removed endorsing enemies. It was seen as trolling by most people.
