It feels exactly like Zarya’s weapon. I do not play Zarya specifically because I don’t like her weapon. It doesn’t lock on, it doesn’t even bend like Moira’s main fire does. I can’t tell when it ends, it looks like I should be hitting people but I am not. Also if you move even half an inch off it just does zero damage. This is a deal breaker for me, I might not be able to play overwatch anymore. Not a threat, just won’t be able to find enjoyment in this game with my favorite hero gone.
But she’s viable now with dramatically improved damage. In a FPS, aiming is fairly important,
Learn to aim.

Some people can’t aim, or have disabilities preventing them from aiming well.
Then what in the actual world are you doing playing a first person shooter!?
I guess you could ask that of people playing Mercy?
You know, there are other heroes who you can play like reinhart, mercy, moira, winston etc right?
Okay, but what is your favorite hero, Winston?
Winston now just has Zarya’s beam. How do you feel about your hero now?
Not as much fun, not quite the same? Would you be upset at all?
Yes, I could. There is a reason why Overwatch is the easiest FPS in existence. Even Splatoon be harder.
If you looked at my profile you would know I literally play all hero almost equally much except snipers So I literally wouldnt care. I play what I feel for.
Maybe Overwatch is meant to appeal to a wide variety of players with different skillsets beyond just having great aim?
Moira’s beam doesn’t bend. That is purely cosmetic. In fact, Moira, Zarya, Winston and now Sym all work exactly the same. The ONLY difference between them in terms of aiming mechanics is the size of the invisible hitbox of their attacks, well, and in Winston’s case the shape but otherwise still functions identical.
Okay but most people have a favorite hero, and wouldn’t appreciate their gun being changed to something else completely.
You’re exactly right, it is. But at the same time, its design is why the competitive scene is unattractive and weak. Blizzard is trying to mitigate this effect.
So let’s just screw most of the playerbase to turn this game into Call of Duty?
Well this is why people should probably experiment and try other heroes than go for main or nothing. I cant say I feel any empathy towards people like that.
Are you forgetting how amazing her alternate fire is?
That’s like saying I can’t feel empathy for people who decide to live their lives differently than mine. Just because it is a foreign experience to you, doesn’t mean it is somehow less valid.
Yes, because irl is the same as a video game. I basically said: I play wow but got no empathy towards ppl who are flavour of the month player who constantly change mains all the time because they do top dps. So no, its not the same.
I just realized this guy is a troll. Don’t feed him any more conversation and lets get out of here (the sym guy that is).
