he’s either broken or useless
i would much rather have him useless than broken
all it takes is 1 teammate feeding him and you lose the game because you get riptired a zilion times
and yes, he’s a very low skill floor hero
And again, we ignore his skill ceiling. As much as I don’t want to assess some of your grievances in bad faith, but it seems some people’s criteria for Junk being broken is being viable. His perception as a low skill floor hero is not unwarranted, but past a certain skill thresholds his weaknesses really come to light. When people complain about hanzo, or widow or genji or mccree, you’re met with a flood of “git gud” or “just counter 4head” . But apparently being able to play around junkrat is just too much these days for Overwatch players. If people can’t dodge or avoid one of the slowest projectiles in the game that glows flipping red, I don’t know what to tell them.
Let’s agree to disagree then, I just hope Junkrat get some more adjustment in the future and not taking a year.

in order for junkrat not to dominate at gold and lower, you need Gold and lower to open their eyes and not eat the slow moving death peas.

Incorrect, at JR’s peak. he had #1 pickrate for less than 2 weeks.
without a nerf he dropped to #5 and stayed there until january when he got nerfed and dropped out of the top 10.

Honestly, the devs should never had nerfed Roadhog. Him a junk both punished lack of awareness, but people don’t like having that pointed out and so it got nerfed.
People used to have much better positioning. Now it’s all gone to hell.

Its map dependent. Some maps he is utterly useless.
Eichenwalde and anubis he is just pure cancer I am sorry. Junkrat still has his place right now you just cant run him 100 percent of the time like you did before.
again I am all for a buff on him as I play him quite often. but please let’s not returnj to season 7 status when literally

He is in a bad spot for sure and honestly I think this last buff was a net nerf I do actually agree with Chro on that one. But no more season 7 rat just deleting people left and right and rip tire every 30 seconds.

I’m guessing the damage change. IMO the only thing that needed fixing was the broken hit reg of hook. Chro brought up something interesting about pre nerf hog’s threatening presence being his way of making space. Once they took that away, now he’s just a spongy ultimate battery.

Though,to solidify the point of the importance of volume. You can collapse a manifold surface into near infinitely small volume aslong as it allows. Without the maximised volume of the spherical form it would lose out. So in this case, the volume is very important indeed.
