Because sombra players want to ruin the fun in the game AND on the forums. Just who they are I guess.
problem i have against sombra is i CANT play what i want, she hard FORCES swap by EXISITNG. Getting killed by her feels like cheating since she just wait till the perfect moment for her to have the advantage⌠INVISIBLE.
You cant outplay or counter invisibility. Its lame AF
She alone is has made me quit so many times. Just cause its NO fun at all.

I can both see and hear a tracer and a genji.
They also donât have an ability that turns them into a braindead counterswap hero because they can disable abilities while being invisible

imo the stealth is annoying but not the worst part. As the argument goes, teamwork and support counters her ambushes, and at high levels she is generally pretty average. I think if they just made her abilities take MUCH more skill, it would solve all the issues. She would remain viable in upper ranks, keep all her hero fantasies, and remove the literal dominance she has over the average player base.
like for example, make Hack require aim, and good tracking, so you have to track the enemy perfectly for the entire cast. Maybe also make virus a smaller projectile or something.
I do also think stealth should be somewhat visible like Halo stealth or something but that would be less impactful imo.
I think itâs the only problematic part. No hero should be fully invisible. It removes a major aspect of the game - tracking - and makes any matchup with sombra unfair in her favour.
No no, a Sombra player once told me a Sombra has to carefully track the number of enemies on her field of vision, because an enemy could accidentally âcome behind herâ and kill her .
And she has to track her position well because anyone can âreveal herâ by walking into her detectionâs circle.
So yeah, for Sombra, tracking is very important and requires âa lotâ of game sense and positionings.
I hate Sombra too - so now sheâs my secondary. As soon as someone on the enemy team goes Sombra - I do it too and try to make people as miserable as possible so more people hate her and Blizzard is forced to nerf her.
Just learn how to counter her! Donât be lazy! This attitude is not good. The translocator is gutted hardly after the rework.
Yeah sorry but being one of what, 2 DPS that can actually contest a widow when sheâs sitting 600m away from point - I feel like sombra stomping her is a pretty fair interaction?
When they bring her range closer in line with the other hitscans Iâd be all for widow getting some decent buffs to make her scarier to dive.
But right now on characters like Ashe you have to somehow avoid the entire enemy team just to get in range of a widow where you can do more than 10 damage with an ads headshot.
Like its actually ludicrous that damage boosted Ashe v widow on opposing Busan highgrounds barely has widows health drop with a headshot yet she can drop me with one bullet.
Having the potential to insta gank 90% of the character roster from complete safety is a pretty good trade off for having a single, real hard dps counter outside of a widow duel.
I know youâre not out here pretending like buffed HP and projectile size tracer is even remotely balanced.
Iâm not defending Sombraâs current state but good lord be real.

I would go further and fire whoever thought an invisible hero was a good idea in a shooter.
Or sombra mains like to say âdonât hack before virus because it gives away warningâ and try to persuade you that landing virus after hack requires a lot of aiming because apperantly the hacked enemy gets a warning. Like please, virus has such a huge hitbox and youâre using it in 5 meters, regardless of the warning, itâs quite easy to hit.
By their logic, direct hitting a helix is probably extremely skillful, because people can always see a soldier coming and get that âwarningâ. Or maybe when sombra mains play soldier, they will spend 1 min to find the perfect flank so they can shoot a helix from the back, without the âwarningâ.
I know many overwatch players like to oversell the skill of the heroes they main, but those sombra players are on the next level. What they claim to be so âskillfulâ about sombra is literally how every other heroes normally play the game.
