JQ needs something but what?

They could either give her more life steal on bleeds, 1 second off commanding shout, have commanding shout apply bleeds to nearby enemies or have it when your swinging carnage you can use commanding shout to close the distance.

1 of these would be fine. 2 would be a good buff to her viability. But anymore and it’d be too much.

JQ is not a Tank, she’s more like a ‘buffed DPS’ just like Roadhog.

As much I love her, she should stay weak like Roadhog.

All she needs is a main tank by his side because she’s a pure off tank.

Buff this, nerf that, doesn’t matter. She was designed with a 6v6 environment in mind.

I love her, but as long as 5v5 exists she’s just a fat dps, not a tank.

Some sort of dmg reduction if wounds are up? 5%? 10%? Would reward hitting your axes, jagged blades, melees and rampages.

Minus 1 second on Shout’s CD.

The problem with her, I feel like, is that she needs both supports to constantly make sure she’s up and alive. And yeah, she is very fun to play, but I’m scared to pick her in comp.

Just want to correct this. Widow WAS meta during dive. They literally replaced Genji with Widow multiple times.

I also wouldn’t say Tracer counters Widow. Tracer has no vertical mobility. Widow just stays a top of an unreachable highground, how do you as Tracer counter that? Even just to get to Widow a lot of the times it takes so long, you have to be undetected by her and her team, avoid her mine, not get 1 shot, hope she’s not pocketed.
Maybe that’s just me though.

They replaced Genji with Widow AFTER they buffed Widow which was my point. They buffed Widow so much so during dive that having the 4 heroes Widow is weakest against being meta was not enough to make her not meta which meant once the meta shifted Widow become mandatory.

As for your answer, DVA/Winston flies up chases her off her high point, then Tracer kills her . Dive is not and never has been about one hero going into the enemy team, it was, to overly simplify, about your team jumping into their team or into the out of position person. Usually you would have the Winston dive and the DVA flip between diving and defending along with both DPS diving and with that combination you could just roll over anything especially when it was discorded.

Any Widow trying to just sit on high ground would be a prime dive target for everyone else so they buffed Widow to make her safer against that which meant the only counterplay to her did not negate her and suddenly without those heroes being meta she was unstoppable.

the sad part about this thread is that junkerqueen is so trash, that no one plays her so no one gets her, no one even understands she’s a pseudo-dive tank more than brawl.

Frankly her “bleed” needs to change. Currently it damages enemies over time and gives her health over time. What it needs to do is damage enemies over time and heal her INSTANTLY in a burst. The reason she’s a bad tank is cuz she can’t take hits. If she healed instantly (for less than her current total obv since its over time) she could tank much better since with every knife hit and axe swing shes getting more health.

My suggest to make when commanding shout active, her self heals from wounds doubled.

  • Allow Shout to be used during the carnage wind up animation.

  • Jagged Blade now ignores the environment more effectively (pulling an enemy is no longer entirely negated by a single stair or the lip of a gutter etc.)

I don’t even think she needs much to be GOOD, just some QoL changes.

Oh and discord need to get absolutely dumpstered.

but like i said for months

1 reverse the hitbox increase nerf the retarded devs gave her during her “increase survivability patch”
2. let me shout during the swing of her axe. its stupid that im locked out of shout for the entire active frames.
3. let her heal a small amount from her shotgun too (her self healing is absolute garbage
4. let damage from wounds provide overhealth if im at full health already

some big buffs

letting knife and axe have healing befuff effects.
like if you get hit with gracie its 10% less healing for X amount of seconds
15% from carnage. so max healing debuff 25% (gracie and carnage combined can stack, but gracie + gracie or carnage + carnage do not stack)

obviosly the numbers are flexible

I think 6 vs 6 would make JQ absolute viable as a off tank.

ive talked about this a lot on the forums. jq is extremely solid imo, coming from someone that one tricks her and dva. her only issue lies in her having an end lag problem no other heroes face in ow. her axe has nearly a full second of end lag after hitting someone with it, thats a full second you cant shout to get out of committing to axe someone in the face! her potential to secure picks during a neutral fight is fairly low due to her recovery time on her gun being horrendous. i think if jq is buffed i her numbers at all there will be lots of issues, my best idea is allowing her to shout at ANY time, ignoring her other abilities being used so she can actually save herself, instead of throwing a knife then being crit by ashe the frame you pressed the button and now you die while in the animation whne im sitting here spamming shout. or axing a team just to be crit by the widow during the start up and not have enough time to shout even after hitting the whole team.

Flat healing on bleed proc, rather than percentage based on the damage done by bleed procs.

2.5 HP/s per bleed proc, each enemy can have up to 3 bleed procs. Rampage applies 3 procs. Using Rampage halves Commanding Shout’s current cooldown.

Job done.
