Join a GAME "DEFEATED" . 😔

I’m a little slow mate, So bare with me.

Here is my scenarios.

  1. I playing lets say ā€œRoad66ā€ I win my game. Wait for win screen–Vote–XP and (leave game manually) . I will choose to get up stretch, water, ect . Come back and Que up and Join a game and ā€œDEFEATEDā€ . : (

  2. Let’s say i’m playing ā€œRoad66ā€ and I lose , i tried my hardest and my team mates were terrible just trolling ect or we just sucked but the game was frustrated. I repeat the same steps-- Vote-XP - BUT this time i don’t leave… So i Join a game 5 seconds later in the SAME DAM map i just lost on. Since i’m human and don’t want to play the same map i just lost i leave instantly and Wait 30-60 seconds before joining another Random game. This does help but does not prevent me from Joining a 'Defeat" Game.

I feel like i’m screwed no matter what i do lol. Either i suck it up and Play the same Dam Map i just lost or just deal with the crappy Que. LOL.

So getting in a game and seeing the defeat screen, pressing escape and exit and you are done… that’s like 15 seconds… 400 xp for that is not bad at all.

I’d rather have waited an extra 30 seconds and got into a real match rather than have wasted my time for what is essentially nothing.

It should just pop up and say ā€œYOU’RE A LOSERā€ instead of ā€œDEFEATEDā€. It’s not commentary on your play, but on Blizzard’s general disdain for its customers.

You have to remember that the time which the matchmaker found a match for you was before the game ended. The matchmaker cannot know ahead of time what’s going to happen in the match by the time it takes you to load into the map. The enemy could be an inch from victory and then your team is able to reclaim the payload and push it back, or reclaim a 99% cap in overtime.

I get that nobody likes being backfill, but it’s a necessity in the grand scheme of things. Otherwise every game would just be horribly ruined the moment anyone leaves because now its a 5v6, and itll likely just make everyone else leave too.

I agree , and i will admit i have joined game where someone has left i back fill and we WIN, its a good feeling because the quitter probably sucked and we ended up winning. What i hate is joining 1-10 seconds left in the game where i cannot even come close to reaching anyone so i can benefit my teammates or just Instantly ā€œDefeatedā€ . But makes sense.

I would rather play full matches than get 400 exp. I bought the game to play not sit in queue… get a game… DEFEAT… back to sitting in queue.

It’s pathetic that Blizzard won’t even say something about this. The people that leave matches early don’t care about exp either.

I’m gonna say it again, if someone leaves a match early then they should be forced to backfill the next time they queue up. It doesn’t matter if they leave 30 seconds into the match or 1 second before it’s officially over.

How do you know it doesn’t already prioritize that? I’ve played thousands of games and I almost never leave, but have almost never been backfill for other games either. While you may not get a harsh visible XP penalty for leaving one or two games, there’s no way of knowing for sure that blizzard doesn’t already penalize leavers with less harsh penalties under the hood.

Just stop leaving servers.
You want to stay out of the player pool as much as possible an stay in the ā€œserver rotationā€ pool as much as you can. So when the game is over don’t leave, just sit there for the map rotation being that will always be a 100% new round from the start. When the server closes down and throws everyone back into the over all player pool, that is when you risk getting a back fill.

people don’t seem to understand that and think leaving at the victory/defeat or POTG screen and queue right away is the same as a map rotation on a server, it’s not, at all.

Player queue = risk of backfill
Server rotates map or your attack/defend side of the current map = Zero chance for backfill.
I’m level 1200+ now, mostly stick to QP and have little to no backfill issues being I don’t leave servers. I get kicked out when servers die due to everyone else leaving but other wise I just sit there and let it rotate past maps.

Here is an issue that you are missing. Let’s say i’m playing COMP. someone is throwing a game, all of us are frustrated. So we take a break come back and play QP . I join a game and DEFEATED.

Here is something else. People complain that no one should leave there Character for any momment while you get up and take care of something and come back, that’s not fair for you mates and the CORRECT time to do this is when a game is done. So you should not be Punished if you want to Snack,Restroom,Take care of something quick and join the Que to a defeated game. This is the correct way to do things.

Also again if you are playing a match and you Lose you wait and you JOIN a game without leaving and its the SAME DAM MAP! Why would you want to play the same crap you just won or loss?
All these things have happened not just to me but other people. Stop leaving the servers is not the issue . My reason for leaving is allot of the time the Severs are terrible for Map Rotation maybe that should be the fix , because other people feel the same. Why play the same map on attack 2 times on QP or the same map you lost? It creates frustration and toxicity . Just my take on things.

i can sort of understand it in qp and don’t mind it… but in deathmatch? Backfilling is so stupid.

I too have had 2 to 3 insta ā€œdeafetedā€ load ins back to back randomly, it’s not the best experience. I would be annoyed if they were counting it against my loss counter.

/rolleyes/ come on now, you have to see what you did right there.
WHY you leave doesn’t mater, leaving is what is getting a player more back fills. If you stay on a server, let it rotate the map, scramble the team, maybe draft a new player etc it will ALWAYS be a different map and a 100% fresh new round. It’s only from the player queue you get back fills, never server rotation. They are not the same thing.

We are meant to just sit on servers and let the match maker find players, rotate maps etc. Leaving is what results in back fills, same map x3 in a row, always getting attack on 2CP (being that’s the team most players tend to leave) and so on.

yeah LOL - happened to me once, two other people gave up, and the guy came back and was like ā€œwhat happened? my internet cut outā€ and we lost LUL

Lucky you. It never happened to me to join a winning game.

This has happened to me 2 times ever - , i think the only way this could possible happened if its the team who is Winning has a person disconnected or leave because they have no choice and you get filled in to ā€œVICTORYā€, but i have better chances of getting good loot boxes than this happening. JK!! Lootboxes hate me. : (

Well the alternative is you play matches and if someone leaves then that match is ruined. Sure it’s annoying you join right at the end, but it’s a sacrifice.

There will always be people leaving games. If they forced those that leave to backfill then someone will fill the spot. If they don’t want to be backfilling all the time then they will stop leaving matches.

I once joined a game during the victory sequence.

all it took was 30 insta-defeats
