Maybe they will have a series of these (eg, obsidian, diamond, etc). That would make some sense. But having your two colors be gold and green is…an odd choice.
Kinda weird to say jade instead of emerald. Most jade I’ve ever seen is not that dark
Funny how that can be said about everything in the shop
It may be catering to the Korean audience (I say based on the fact that Asian themed things often use jade, without any actual knowledge or understanding beyond that).

Hate on these all you guys want. But I’m glad they’re finally adding more free things in the game that we can earn through progression.
Gives AN incentive to play the game, even if it’s not a great one.
Is a bit strange they started with Jade though and not Ruby or Amethyst or something. Probably Aaron Kellers favourite colour or something.

Obsidian is likely too cool for them to give away through progression. That’ll probably be paywalled like the Hardlight skins.

They just created a texture with some glow effects as a reward, damn.
Not even a cosmetic effect or a glow … literally same weapons but with green instead of gold 
They’ll just end up being like gold weapons. People thought they were cool and something to aspire to initially, but now they’re seen as “eh”. On many skins gold weapons actually detract from the appearance.
I would have preferred something like diamond.
I think that they should have given top 500 players a special skin, like a diamond or pearlscent
They should have gone for foam finger guns 
There’s SOOOOO much cosmetic junk in the game that I don’t think anything can stand out anymore. Give it some time and these will be just another random cosmetic from ‘some season a while back’ that no one cares about.
At least gold guns stood the test of time. But that’s not FOMO so here we are. Just a green paint job and we’re all supposed to be interested.
