I've stopped playing this game for laziness

“I’m leaving and I’m not coming back!”.

“This is not the same as before, buaaah.”

Before anything, this post is not about the game… Well… I suppose it is.

But it’s more about how I didn’t expect this to happen to me. It’s so weird.

Ever since I reached Diamond, I’ve haven’t touched this game anymore. It was my objective since ten years ago, so it was a big motivation for the grind but…

If I think about playing Overwatch, I feel some kind of… “laziness”.

Like, I can only bring myself to play Fika. I’ve enjoyed Mercy for ten years but now I only like Jetpack Cat, and she feels bad.

I think the only moment I genuinely enjoyed Overwatch and support again was during the 6vs6 Queue test where the DPS Passive was at 15%. I wanted to play again non stop.

It feel more like OW 1, a game which never gave me this feeling.

But Overwatch 2 is just… Not boring but, I just don’t want to deal wirh all the passives, mega tanks, bad sensations and all the complications this game has now.

And I love mechanically demanding games, I love Hack And Slash and fighting games. I can go play Smash in any moment.

Its just that Overwatch has become a mess of mechanics, not in the good way. It’s like in Chess every piece started moving forward every 3 turns and if you knockout the Queen you gain a 20% range boost and the pawns have two lives and can parry if there’s another one close.

Yeah, you have more variables, but it doesn’t make the game necessarily better or more fun.

I am the only one? Because I’m sure I am not.

I agree, OW1 was simpler, slower, more tactical/strategic (imo). It felt more raw? If that makes sense.

OW2 introduced 5v5, passives, self-healing, perks, way more mobility, CC reduction, cleanse abilities etc.

It never hit the same as OW1 and never will for me but its still a unique game.
