I've decided to stop using game chat from today onwards

I guess that’s what I will do. thanks.

Thing is I dont complain about mistakes. Its just as I realized now I was “baited” into toxicity ban multiple times, as mona explained well above.

In my experience the majority of toxicity on PC is in Competitive because people want to win so much that they get easily frustrated and tilted. It also appears to get worse the higher you climb.

I’d say you get a toxic individual in your game once every 20-30 games or so and that’s not counting the whole “ggez” you get after every few games.

If you got banned obviously you are toxic enough often enough to get all those reports. Heres a simple solution: don’t be toxic.

Keep in mind that if a player spam the voice chat or is being rude to you you can mute him in the voice chat option do it at the spawn between 2 death

And i know how hard it could be sometimes, i as a girl, and as a main mercy can here some pretty rude things, at the end the just end up with report from me and my friends.

Just never respond to rude people let them be alone in the chat mute them and continue the game without thinking of what they have said.
(most of the time the rude person is also the one who never play in team)

I would say toxicity can occur everywhere, in competitive, in quickplay, and even in the arcade

I think my focus is on “Don’t call people names.” Like I get that sometimes it feels good to call someone a jerk or trash or a carry… but it doesn’t really accomplish anything. It just creates friction in the team. It’s not meaningful feedback or criticism that’s going to help anyone get better, it’s just going to make you look bad. If someone else is doing it… eh, I report or mute and move on with my life.

Giving feedback on what a person is doing is usually more productive but really hard to do in real-time while you’re also trying to play. Usually I try to save tips or recommendations between rounds or at the end of the game. People get super emotionally charged during competitive play (or when they just want to do their best); just gotta find that balance.

Well I guess I’ll go play some Reinhardt on chateau before it expires. I learned the lesson.

yes, how many time i’ve known a party was going to be lost because 2 teamate were arguing about witch one was the reason we lost the point … or just straight from nower insult another one because they died…
At this moment you know it’s gonna be hard to win and it’s on your shoulders to stay positive, and help them reach the objective.

One thing I noticed about this game is that people are too sensitive. Idk why is that, but people get triggered over everything that’s negative even slightly. It feels like playing with SJWs most of the time.
