Ive Changed My Mind On 5v5

As someone who used to be firmly against the idea of losing a tank and all that, ive played enough games right now of how tanks are with how they feel to play i just end up being so tilted. its a real shame because i still love the role and i used to be a dedicated tank player. i still think most of the tanks are weak, and in my opinion the community thinks tanks are “balanced” because they have just grown accustomed to tanks blowing up in a millisecond…im happy the tanks will all be getting buffs for 5v5 but if they still feel like crap then oh well ill just never touch the role again, no 2nd tank will be extra incentive to stay away

We hope. Keep in mind that many of them are (supposedly) getting changes that will shift how they play, so what we recognize as tanks today may not exist at all in OW2 and may instead be “brawlers” or “bruisers.” So far, what we’ve seen of tank “buffs” for OW2 have been… underwhelming, but there’s still time for that to change. I’m just dubious Blizzard will change it enough.

This is Overwatch, don’t worry, real power creep will solve this issue. Not the power creep forums whine about, nah. Genuine power creep. Tank will 100% be fun on launch… For the new heroes.

Didn’t Reinhardt in their example stream have an even flimsier shield but 2 charges of Fire Strike?

Also, they’ve outright stated that they want to push tanks more towards offense and less defense like Roadhog. All because they’re trying to get dps mains to play the role. So… I wouldn’t hold my breath for dying slower after 5v5 comes.

We already have people playing the roles terribly (queue dodging), and OW2 wants to encourage this crap even more? Don’t like the sound of a dps, and fat dps slot in this game.

nice profile picture btw

The important thing is that each time you have a new thought, you rush to tell the world, and use the most definitive and inflammatory language possible. Let it all out, surely you won’t change your mind again, 50 more times.

As I stated in another thread…

Rein- 1200 HP shield
Two Firestrikes (probably reduced the damage)
More control on Charge

Zarya- Has two “charges” on her Bubbles
We don’t know “for sure” on HP and how much charge

D.Va- Longer DM “I think” (actual distance)
“Shorter” Boosters I think

Winston- A long range attack (Don’t know damage)

Roadhog- Not sure if anything changed

WB- Wasn’t played??? Not sure if anything changed

Orisa/Sigma- weren’t played (but we do know that they are getting changed)

And that’s what I got from watching the “show matches”… So not sure about “buffs”

Don’t know where you got the idea that I’ve changed my mind even once before now; and i don’t see how you could possibly know by the evidence provided that my mind will change again. Find something else to do instead of trying to invalidate peoples opinions based on non existent fantasies you made up :slightly_smiling_face:

Because you are a human being. Because you did it already. Because you had a “firm” (by your own admission) opinion based on basically no information, and now you have another one, despite no more information being revealed.

Do you know what forums are for? This place is for interacting with other human beings, who will occasionally have different opinions than you.

I believed one way then my mind changed. once.

You left out the important part

Ah yes, the “fantasy” of…the thing you already did.

He was played on the Rio map:

  • Adaptive Shield was replaced with “Overhealth”

Eh, it was kind of hard to tell: only reason I knew was 'cause they switch to Wrecking Ball’s PoV at the final point.

You have no evidence that I’ve changed my mind before now or will change before ow2 releases in 2077. By your logic im going to change my mind 50 times on whether i want a cushion or spikes in my seat next time i sit down when ive already felt the spikes
find something else to do because im done explaining

Let’s go ahead and say it, OW2 will release on October 24th, 2077… In the Fallout Universe.

“You have no evidence I’ve done the thing I’m doing right now, besides this exact moment! Yes, this makes sense!”
