If Blizz can’t deliver on PVE, let us do it for you. We’ve been asking for saving variables and more workshop tools for a long time now. Give us the tools we need and we’ll keep the game alive FOR YOU. People play workshop games more than the actual game at this point. The workshop is Overwatch’s last hope.

I doubt this will ever happen. Also keep in mind present features we have are still broken, and need improvement, and they would not give such things to handle in our hands, otherwise if so, we could fix them on our own.

The Workshop team has been adding a lot of features into the game lowkey. Projectiles were added recently in April. Maybe we’ll get NPC bots (probably just dummy bots) in the near future? Make use of all those enemy assets that didn’t get used for the campaign.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if the assets were just hidden in game code.
I would really love to try level design tools for Overwatch. Even if it would be purely local without possibility of posting results.
