Oh, I don’t know, friend. Luck was too big of a factor when it came to one shots. It was miserable to walk back from spawn because Hanzo missed his target and hit me.
I’m a hanzo main with more than 500h of gameplay with him. People on lower ranks doesn’t like hanzo because of his “lucky” headshots. But what about zenny, torb, junkrat and every other projectile character which randomly spams at chokes? The thing is, with this nerf, its just better to play as torbjorn rather than hanzo, since headshots doesnt kill anymore. And btw, with bigger projectiles, you just made hanzo more like spamzo than ever. Theres no other way to play it now. Why would I have the patience to aim, or to flank, if I dont kill with a headshot anymore? The only way left to play is to spam at chockes. I would trade the bigger projectile for a smaller + 1 headshot kill without a doubt. Geez, I would even accept to lower the body damage if headshots come back to kill again. Make hanzo a skill based character again, please.
For those who keeps saying its easy to play as hanzo (back like he was before), why dont you play with him then? If you find it boring, there are a lot of counters to deal with it.
Another thing about people which complain about the “lucky” shots: of course hanzo (as any other character) will keep spamming on chockes if theres 5 players peacking there. But let me give you a little advice - the map is big, you can flank/take an off-angle, go through any other patch and you will see the luck factor being drastically reduced.
BTW WHO ASKED FOR BIGGER HEALTH POOLS? NOBODY! WHO ASKED FOR BIGGER PROJECTILES?
TL;DR: Stop lowering the skill ceiling from this game. Its a competitive game, for God sake.

I dont play hanzo and i can get 15 to 20 kills with him easily, much easier than i could with, let’s say widow.
His gameplay strategy and pre-rework Sombra are basically the same.
Keep at a safe distance, never get off your comfort zone, back and forth into a med pack and rinse and repeat.
If the nerfing forces players to be more engaged in battle as Hanzo then great im all for it, as he is now though? He’s a joke.

well with the new dps passive, you are more likely to have been under 240 hp when hit by this guy bc of other people

difference is that hanzo spams more now because of the Storm arrows cooldown decrease, and then his arrow hitbox is also 8 times larger than before
Yes, now! Because just now they removed the 1shot potential of hanzo. I had never to complain before, because as far as I see, he was balanced already. Of course you can play this way you told, but like the old sombra, it has its downsides: if you are not being spotted, then its 5x4 battle, so you might make your hidden position really worth its value, meaning, landing headshots. Otherwise your team will be rolled. So it was an alternative way to play, rather than spamzo, and it has good value, but only if you know what you’re doing.
And even if you say its easy to land headshots with hanzo, good luck trying to fight anyone - soldier, pharah, genji, mei, torb on the open space, face to face. So hanzo has its value, but any experienced player knows you only need good movement and better positioning, for instance, be really close and avoid movement patterns then you can win the 1v1.
What is the problem with 1 shot anyways? Get good, change position, dont be predictable, counterplay.
