Its an actual joke how bad reaper is

I get to gold every season thanks

land of slightly less worse players

and at the end of the day i’d still kill you lol

you dont even show ur profile lol

that’s blizzard’s fault it was synched properly on the old forums but when it got transfered it refused to synchronize

its pretty much a fact that only low ranks think reapers good

that would explain why my GM friend plays him >.>

The problem with Reaper is how hard he gets shut down by Brigitte, and how Junkrat avoids these downsides.

I believe Reaper needs a rework like hanzo honestly. He’s just 100% pointless right now.

I think Reaper just needs to do full damage to armor, as if it was normal HP.

And 3x faster animation with invulnerability on the first half of his shadow step.

They really need to include some kind of anti armor stuff to his passive And either buff Shadow Step or remove it and replace it with better mobility or even a high damaging ability, to make him a better tank buster.
I only have two hours on the guy and even I can see he’s not in a good spot.

Imagine an island, days from anywhere, with a boat that requires a minimum of 6 people to operate.
Most of the islanders only know their home and will generally be inclined to return to it after a few hours.
Now try to convince them you need to get back to the mainland after having crash landed on that island.

That is Bronze.

Yep, as i said a billion times already, Reaper is so bad atm, he doesnt fit the game, only damage he can do is when hes at melee (not close, MELEE, his guns down some1’s throat) and the actual realistic damage he does, around 150 dps (his ā€œpotentialā€ dps is 480) is reduced by at least 40% against armor, also his Ultimate charges slowly and is really easy to shut down so, with that in mind i think he needs 2 out of 3 of these changes so hes somewhat useful.

  1. Shadow Step : at least .5 seconds faster, some sort of rework on the functionality, maybe make it invisible on destination, maybe make it so it adapts to the distance he travels and recharges and completes faster and gives him a buff that increases his movement speed sligtly and muffles his movement for a brief period, 5 seconds or so… odly specifc, i know, but something of these proportions is what this terrible thing needs, i feel.
  2. Hellfire Shotguns: Make them better into armor, by halving the pellet count and doubling their damage , would end up like this : 10x14 = 140 , same damage as current (20x7) , but into armor : 10 x (14-5) = 90 , on headshots = 10 x (28-5) = 230 , against the current 20 x (7-3.5) = 70 and FULL on headshots = 20 x (14-5) = 180 , a whopping 30% dmg increase against armor, or decrease its spread so he now plays at ranges tanks/Brig cant reach him, tho he would be stepping on Tracer’s shoes a bit much imo…
  3. Death Blossom : Up its range to 11 meters from 8 meters, same as his falloff, the damage to 600 (200x3) from 510 (170x3) and decrease its charge required to 1500 from 1825 but add fall off to itself so its not so broken, something like 70 dps at the very end or something.

Oh god, no. I respectfully disagree.

Let reaper be a close range brawler. Don’t give him longer range. Don’t touch his range.

Instead, increase his ability to ambush.

Here’s a radical idea…

Shadow Step [E]: Shadowstep teleports reaper up to 30 meters targeted by his crosshair. Advanced Targeting: By using the mouse’s scrollwheel you can alter Reaper’s target location and target locations in mid air. While a mid air teleport will take twice as long to cast as one that’s targeted normally, it will give nearly zero warning at the teleportation’s target point that he is incoming.

This suggestion is totally random and probably wouldn’t work. But it’s an idea.

edit:
Similar idea. Moar shadowstep buffs…

  • Have shadowstep grant reaper 0.5 seconds of damage immunity after he finishes teleporting and let him move around while he’s immune. Don’t let him shoot, but let him get his bearings and pick a target.
  • While casting shadowstep, have reaper’s PoV move immediately to his target location instead of having it move with his body. Let him look around and aim while he’s casting.

Wraithform buff…

  • Put Wraithform on a resource meter. 3 seconds of use with a full meter, 10 seconds to fully recharge, and a four second cooldown once wraithform is exited.
  • Wraithform no longer reloads his shotfuns (edit: not fixing it)

This would allow him to use upwards of 2 seconds of wraithform to get into range to attack, and then up to ~2 seconds of wraithform to get out of danger if he used it to close.

I’m real sketchy on this one because of how bonkers-powerful it would have the capacity to make him.
