It just lacks rational people up in there, like did you ever see quakedon or hammond the hammond main complain about sombra being a counter? Absolutely not. Even though she shuts down doom and hammond hardly, much much more than brig counters genji.

Thing is, theyâre tank players and honestly, DPS is the most popular role therefore it stands that itâs what would attract most people to the game. Iâve said a lot, theyâre balancing for views not players thatâs why a lot of support and tank players I know have just dropped this game. They want their flashy DPS poster characters on top, alongside Ana and Winston who are the only acceptable heroes in the other classes.
What annoys me most though is people always go on about low risk character should have low reward. With Genji buffs, I feel heâs definitely gotten very low risk but still gets massive reward. He needed some changes but 4 buffs in one is ridiculous.

Iâm a semi-casual, and I personally care about balance because if a hero I play is bad enough to be unfun, I want them to be buffed into fun-territory. (Or at least feeling like Iâm making an impact.)
I also donât like having people screech at me for playing a hero who is fun to me but unviable.

Pretty much, people complain about Moira âreward to skillâ ratio but itâs okay for Ana to be the queen bee cause of how much she gets rewarded for her skill and will get lynched for even saying she might need a nerf over it.

reinhardt also doesnt have a 40% damage reduction ability btw so he cant defend himself if he gets caught out in the open with shield down plus him and winston are more engaging to play than orisa or sigma ever will be

I donât know his exact opinions and rather not care as much.
I did get that he wants a more skilled version of the overwatch, however the deflect change only affects the more mechanically intensive supports making them way weaker in 1v1 situations. That shouldnât be the case and I donât know even if that guy wants it.
However saying that a consistent top500 is a bad player dunno the person who believes it needs some checks with his doctor or w/e

they are looking into Moira who is classed as a âtroll pickâ at the highest ranks. Moira players are literally constantly flamed, avoided, and even punished by automated system for playing her.
A certain person in creator discord are being dishonest about Moira about her being OP. but we saw him post a screenshot about Moira, and he got excited. But the changes to her orb werenât as hyped as he made it out to be, meaning he knows very little himself.
If they were really balancing based on Master/GM they wouldnât even be looking to nerf Moira at all.

Overwatch as a professional esport or a casualâs game has the same fundamentals. These youtubers and pro players know them the best. Thus, they are the best players for giving advice.
Yes they are just people, but they are people with the most valuable experience. You donât hire someone who doesnât know the basics of finance for the executive board of a company. The masses may consume the product, but you donât hire them to make the financial decisions. Likewise, the gold/plat/diamond players may play the game, but you donât use their experience to make balancing decisions.

Itâs a shame then that most of the playerbase arenât pro players, and their game experience is just as important as the pros, and removing options from them by balancing them only for the top is a surefire way to keep a happy healthy playerbase
Oh and meanwhile all those âprosâ jump ship as soon as something new comes up anyways, so they ruin the game for the vast majority of players, and then go off to the next hottest game
