It needs to be said. New Patch notes are 9/10, and G-man just added 5 more

I kid you not, this is thee most worthless buff in the existence of this game.

It’s a 3.75 damage increase to the very edge of her splash radius. Meanwhile she is still dealing with the power creep (which got furthered by another hitscan support that cannot heal her as well as a soldier damage revert/buff).

#PharahIsDead

Niche, since he still cannot heal her when she’s airborne.

The salt on the wound is the 3.75 damage increase to the edge of her splash.

I see they are really focused on rewarding the accuracy of Pharah… by rewarding her +3.75 damage for hitting a target on the VERY edge of her splash.

We are running Baps / Mercy for our scrims. Mercy is there for Pharah, I’m hating the damage boost change.

No kidding, it was SO bad. like a giant middle finger to her bad.

It’s a buff for Winston. It was intended as a nerf for Zarya, but since Symmetra is not anything they actively consider, she got hit by it as a byproduct.

Want proof that they ignore Sym? Her damage was stated to be 60/120/180 when reworked, but it turns out that was a mistake and she’d been dealing 65/130/195 dps all along, but with 100s of forum posts mentioning the incorrect values, it was just addressed by a dev NOW. 8 months of being completely ignored on the forums. Our posts weren’t even being read. 8 months of misleading us with incorrect DPS numbers from our only official source.

Add me to the salt list. I’m not ashamed of it.

The two weakest DPS heroes in the game were pretty well acknowledged to be Soldier 76 and Symmetra. Both garbage-tier. Both get flak for being chosen in any circumstance over other choices.

One got buffs, one got a nerf.

Heck yeah I’m salty! I’m overflowing with salt!

yap, changelog looks pretty sick from what i’ve seen. mcfan could’ve gotten -8 instead of -5 and i doubt these changes will make Doomfist viable but w/e, will see how it works out

None increse healing for Mercy,unsatisfied

I’m really kinda surprised it never has had armour or shields considering it IS such a bulky armoured suit she’s wearing. You’d think it would provide some sort of shielding, ya know? Figured it was made out of high quality armoured material fit for a soldier in combat. Guess it’s just made of Papier-mâché.

While the Pharah changes together with 76 and high noon buffs seems like only a message about incoming Pharah buffs that should be here sooner than later this patch is overall very good for the game. Very good stuff, a solid 5/7 patch

This is a buff for beam heroes, and a buff-nerf for symmetra. Maths are explained here.

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/overwatch/t/kill-the-goats-meta/308915/8

Overall, I think the buff-nerf for Symmetra is more buff than a nerf: she will deal more damage with her basic damage level to armored targets, and less with the level3 damage. However, when the level 3 power is reached usually the target has lost his armor (unless you have charged the beam with a barrier).

So… It is a buff for beam weapons against armor then? I have been back and forth with a few people insisting it’s a nerf, but the notes say reduced by 20%, not reduced an additional 20%.

That made me assume it was another nerf to armor which had kind of been the cool thing to do lately.

You can still heal pharah as baptiste, you just have to high jump to get a better shot at her

The McCree changes are a joke though. They don’t help him at all, it only bloats his kit a little more.

Im one of those people who dont like this patch.

It is a nerf for armor.

Last armor nerfs didnt affected beam damage, because they deal damage continously (not in burst damage).

Yes i think 9/10 is a fair rating fot these patches. I just didnt like 1 change that is Widow’s ult.
On live servers your team can use infra-sight as a tool of info to make a push, even if Widowmaker dies.
On changes if you are alive you will have not only their location but also their hp, imo thats too much, her ult is fine as it is right now, idk though we’ll see.
