The fact that you believe this is actually quite funny.
Just simple logic dispels it though. Just ask yourself the question… Why would they.

You might want to go back and read the patents. ![]()
Read them ages ago. Came to a conclusion. Got a couple of others to read them, they came to fairly similar conclusions. So I don’t need to read them again, I am fairly happy with what I know about them.
Uhhh are you talking about the more recent patents for match making or the older ones about lowering damage output for more skilled players, etc?
Patent: US-11040286-B2
I really think you guys give Activision Blizzard too much credit lmao. Do you understand what kind of system would have to be in place to accurately make you win and lose matches? Just think about all the variables for a minute: one being the player that may have had a bad game last match, does that mean he’ll have a bad game this match? Most likely not because of other variables, team comp. Some team comps just gel together and make the team just outclass the other team before even taking in skills. Map/mode type, some people are really good at some modes and bad at others. You are telling me a computer can calculate all this not once, but like thousands of times and get the correct answer??
The more plausible answer, but the one people dont want to hear is you reached your skill cap. You have to get better if you want to continue at your rank, thats right you cant stagnate because other ppl are getting better all the time. If you want to rank up, then you REALLY got to work hard and improve faster than the common population. It can be done but first it takes admitting that maybe you arent that good…
The older one you mention was for PvE.
This “recent” one is from 2017, and is clearly also for PvE. Basically making stacking with friends to play PvE a more fun and balanced experience.
Exactly.
Just apply the simplest of logic and the who conspiracy comes crumbling down.
Except i’m a masters support, and when I was placed in plat at the beginning of the season I definitely had a lot of “losers queue” type games. I know what I’m doing and do just fine at masters, so it’s not like I don’t know how to play at a plat level.
Not to say I never make mistakes, but to get like 7 games in a row where at least one person on my team was “getting their mmr recalibrated” in multiple different instances (and again where I was on the winning side with the enemy team getting horribly stomped) seems too coincidental
Having a patent only means that it has been demonstrated (proof of concept), not that it is in used in practice, or implemented in every game you make.
If you’re not willing to take the devs word on it when they explicitly say “we dont do this” then you’re just being a conspiracy theorist.
I mean it doesn’t help that you get told nothing of where you are in skill. Because the MMR is your real skill. Everything else is fake. You get no form of notification. Something like “You are now being tested in Diamond rank.” If people had CLEAR indication. There would be less frustration. And people going. Why do my teammates suck? Why did this get so much harder? It be like you got blindfolded. Than put in college. When you’ve been in middle school.
Why not? They are keeping statistics so they have the variables, and computers have proved that they can do calculations correctly over and over again, so you can trust them on that.
Also it’s not like they gathered at a bar one evening, and decided how this system will work. They had years to test this out and see what works and what not.
The game loves to match incompetents with elites.
If said elites make one mistake while carrying these simpletons on their backs, the game quickly snowballs into a loss.
An outcome determined before the combatants even engage each other.
Sounds like rigging to me.
Believing the devs at this point is sad. But you do your thing
Believing conspiracy theories that are literally based on the assumption that the devs are lying is definitely way sadder. I really pity you.
Anymore you wanna get off your chest ?
Nvm all your posts are desperately trying to defend them, you’re just a pony. Just gonna block you
“You say stuff I don’t want to hear so I’m going to report and block you”
Very nice, my dude.
All I’ve ever wanted was to play with people, and against people who know how to play as well as I do, and are as skilled as I am. Any more than that it becomes frustrating. Any less than that becomes boring and disinteresting.
Yet, it seems like I keep getting paired with people who don’t know the basics. Like seeing Genji players trying to pick fights against just Winston.
Randoms don’t group up. They don’t organize behind the tank. They don’t… do the things.
I always thought people were just throwing. I had assumed that Blizzard’s match making was somewhat decent, and that I would be paired against ordinarily-skilled players.
I figured Blizzard would match me up with people who knew throwing a Genji at a Winston+mercy combo is a suicide mission, so when they keep doing it, I assumed it was done knowingly.
I’m thinking now that Blizzard just didn’t make an effort to match players well. Just freely mixing players of different skill and knowledge, in a game where those are the 2 most important parts of playing.
motives for devious decisions lie with the devious.
whatever the motive, it backfired, as evident by the exodus.
when you’re prepared to invalidate a single sentence, then
return for comment.
Variable? Explain how the above qualifies as a variable?
Earth to mars. Think about what you asked: “A player has a [bad game] one match, does that mean they’ll have a [bad game] next match?” When rigging is INVOLVED, that means: player COULD NOT GAME. Therefore your entire response implodes upon itself instantly, due to your faulty premise from the beginning, (variable = bad game). When rigging is INVOLVED: one team can’t game. Because heals and damage output becomes artificially impaired for not only 1 player, but for the entire team, of players whose turn it was to artificially lose. Which is why rigging only works by Queuing: Assembling players whose turn it is to artificially lose next. Maybe your account is exempt from rigging so you can’t relate. Or this topic is beyond common comprehension.
Credit? Deviousness isn’t credit. Its unethical.
E X A C T L Y. Artificial outcomes. Which means free will, exceptionalism, effort, means zero. Rename competitive to rigged.
