I think PC elitists just try to make themselves feel better by telling everyone they’re superior to console players so they have someone to look down on. They want to believe they are better, and if someone has a higher rank it’s ‘just on console’ so they can continue believing they are better than others. They want to be special. They want to be skilled.

I know, I used to be an Ana main. She got me out of gold because in the lower ranks people don’t know how to deal with her. After she obsoleted in mid-plat I picked up my qp main - Genji. Put some solid effort and climbed to Diamond and even touched Masters with him.

they have been scrimming with brigitte ever since she came out and she will be meta in most maps. Also in GM, she has a very high pickrate already and an outstanding winrate… Goes to show that even at the high levels, no aim is better than near perfect aim. This is balanced am sure… right? this is so balanced. team based shooter where aim doesnt matter. balanced!! haha blizzard is it still april fools?

Saltycoffee is right mate. How is PC gaming superior? Aim is easier and the systems can run better graphics.
A console player can be just as good as a PC player & it only takes more efforts/practice.

PC is not superior. Just like a console player will find it hard to adjust to PC, PC players will also find it difficult to adjust to console. both platforms are equal

The actual answer to the OP’s rhetorical question is a fair bit more nuanced than he or she may appreciate. Overwatch is not still a team-based shooter, because it never was a team-based shooter. The Overwatch we’ve played since launch, and continue to play today, is an amalgamation of the remnants of an abandoned MMO project. It is why you see snippets of lore that tie things together, character classes, characters that don’t really act like they belong in a shooter, etc.
Overwatch has some shooter elements, but it isn’t a shooter. Overwatch has some MoBA elements, but it isn’t a MoBA. So on and so forth, as they say. It doesn’t neatly fit into any of those categories. So, as far as your disgust over the fact that the game doesn’t pass the litmus test as a shooter, you are right. But you are wrong in the implication that it ever was such a thing.

Does that mean i can sue overwatch for false advertising? on the blizzard website it is clearly stated overwatch is a team based shooter. you have agreed its not a team based shooter coz shooters need aim as a main factor. mobas dont require any aim tho… overwatch is just a moba in first person… when the optimal comp most of the times has 5 of the 6 players not requiring to aim intensively, thats whn you know its far from being a shooter (as advertised on the website)
If you can’t accept all the heroes in this game and WITHOUT talking down to those who play heroes you dislike, perhaps you should move on to another game.

I’m assuming this is yet another complaint thread about Brigitte, as if we don’t have enough of those which members could instead reply to rather than clutter the main forum with nerf Brigitte upon nerf Brigitte thread. Please please make a megathread like you did for Mercy (someone on an official level)! I’m tired of muting duplicate threads just so I can see the main forum for more than just ‘nerf Brigitte’.
If it’s about Brigitte, again, she can’t solo carry a team to victory, she still needs her team. If DPS falter then she falters too. If it’s not about Brigitte then apologies.
mostly moba… 5 out of 6 players in the optimal comp do not need to aim intensively. only 2 people in every match when playing the optimal comps really get the fps experience
My eyes hurt from reading this post. The lack of consistency is troublesome.

so I always thought I play a shooter, but I didnt? Mindblowing…but youre kinda right…they should focus more on shooting cause there is nothing more satisfing in this game than DINK DINK DINK
It’s even more than that too. With telegraphed moves with active and recovery frames it borrows from fighting games as well. One of the heroes is even heavily influenced by such things.
The advertising, as you are aware, may say ‘shooter’. The truth is more complicated and doesn’t fit neatly on an a Flash advertisement.
