I’m starting to think there was a miscommunication among the staff returning from holydays.
keller’s tweet seems to refer to next week as the “midseason patch”, but kaedi’s post here on the forum refers to today.

The season is only 8 weeks though so it should be today since 4 weeks have passed since the season started.
this point is also not very clear, actually: if you look at the weekly challenges tab there seem to be 8 weeks, but if you go to the BP tab, another 42 days are indicated (the equivalent of another 6 weeks).
so here too we have difficulty understanding if the season will last 8 weeks as it has done since they changed the monetization… or 10 weeks as it happened in the past for seasons 4 and 10?
I think the second theory is the most valid: if nothing comes out this week, it’s really TOO little time to include New Lunar Year, experimental mode and OW Classic moth meta, right?
OW deserves the slow and painful death its receiving. With any luck, its failure will consume the passion and souls of those who corrupted it.
They forgot their password
I might be in the minority. But I don’t look forward to patches. Every time a new patch comes out, my replays go out the window.
The team is on holiday break they do this every year.
The blizzard blue post said they would have a balance patch today 1/7 but it’s almost the end of day and no patch.
Remember Alec Dawson just offed his twitter account - essentially on his first day back in the new year - read between the lines people.
I bet Aaron and his crew is playing MR right now.
they say they nerfed window and hazard but i am still seeing them played in droves i dont think they actually did anything like they said in the so called patch notes
