Is there a raining stage in Overwatch? :0

I was wondering if there was a raining stage in Overwatch (qp and comp.). If there is one stage, tell me :D. and if there is not wouldn’t be cool if there was a stage that had some kind of dark skies with light or heavy rain? I think it would be a cool idea to add. im not asking for a whole different map but like a weather alternate to an existing map. (kinda like how hanamura would snow or how it turned nighttime in blizzard world. well what do you guys think :smiley:

Theres none, the closest thing is cherry blossom leaves in hanamura. But just the sound and look of rain in a map would be so pleasing.

I think the reason we don’t have weather is because it would visually clutter the game unfortunately.

im on the fence when it comes to your reasoning. while yeah too much rain can be cluttery (if thats a word XD) but i think its okay if its like a slight drizzle ya know? :3 maybe add some dark skies, thunder in background.

Lijiang Tower: Market I’m not sure if the rain is on mid-match, but it definitely is noticeable in highlights/potg

I really do wish they add weather variant maps to the game, Would be soo cool!

Rain should be covered in effect detail in settings. Effect detail requires a restart. Rain is not super obvious, but it should be there.

that wack rain. im talking like dark clouds maybe thunderstorms rain. I dont want it to be subtle i want it to be like- as soon as the map loads you’re like "oh damn its raining. Not Oh! wait its raining! ya know

Yeah that kind of rain I think would be limited to PVE or arcade modes probably. It would be too much clutter for comp or QP where it’s important to be able to read abilities and enemy positions and such.

well, how about this what if it was just dark clouds and maybe far off thunder. maybe like in hanamura. I think that would be cool. seeing like little thunder flash on the hanamura building and stuff. that would be hella rad

Technically speaking it doesn’t, but you can see water falling on the upper doors on attackers’ first spawn (where Widows like to snipe at the beginning). People who noticed at first got the impression that the rain isn’t drawn to avoid fps issues, but it’s still “there”.
