Is selling your account to someone else bannable?

A friend is quitting overwatch now because he cannot deal with the mercy changes, and I want to be sure if that isnt against the Blizzard ToS for overwatch. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hahahaha someone quitting just because their precious hero isn’t as overpowered anymore. But in all seriousness it is bannable to sell your account since it’s against Blizzard’s ToS.

Buying and selling accounts is against ToS. Does Blizzard actually do anything about it? No.

He is very stubborn and toxic towards others, and he wouldnt listen.

Doesn’t sound like this person is your friend at all. Do you know what the word “friend” means?

“All Accounts, including the name of the Account and any Battle Tags associated with an Account. All use of an Account shall inure to Blizzard’s benefit. Blizzard does not recognize the transfer of Accounts. You may not purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, or offer to purchase, sell, gift, or trade any Account, and any such attempt shall be null and void and may result in the forfeiture of the Account”

Pretty much says Blizzard owns your account, not you. You are not allowed to sell it and if you do try to sell the account and Blizzard finds out, that account will pretty much be deleted by Blizzard

I know it’s not allowed, and I would ever do it, but how would anyone know if the account was sold?

Obviously there won’t be any official statement that lets Blizzard know. It’s going to be cash to hand, most likely or even through PayPal, but Blizzard won’t know who’s playing on that profile.
