Shatter is fine. It’s pretty obvious when he’s going to use it. If he hasn’t shattered for a while, don’t clump up in front of the enemy Rein, especially in small passages or staircases.
Just FYI – you can post a link to a YouTube video starting at a specific time by adding “?t=00m00s” to it.
So: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgPqKk1WtMw&t=2m7s would work!
Also, posting one clip of a Genji cleaning up after they’ve been damaged by Moira ultimate and god knows what else is the definition of anecdotal evidence. If finding one, or a small sub set of YouTube clips, to back your point made you right then everybody would be right.
Genji’s low pick and win rate speak a lot more to me.
You don’t need a 360 shatter to look at an objective and press Q. The AoE radius of it is quite large. Regardless of that, saying “don’t be in range/vision” of an ability is a poor argument to begin with for any ability. It’s not like he’s a statue himself that you can just sneak around.
Theres also Zar bubbles that block shatter
They could rework hamonds shield to absorb any attack (not blocking) thats hitting him. There wouldnt be many interactions with that change, Moira orb would be blocked and Reins E and shatter. He could use his shield to >tank< the shatter for his team.
Having interactions like that would allow for more counterplay from non-barrier tanks and also give more depth to tanks
Would be really cool if there were more original ways to stop shatter - or any ult for that matter -, I agree with that.
Blizz wants to keep ults braindead teamwhipe buttons, respecting that: nerfing Reins ult specifically would be the wrong way of doing things but adding more counterplay to his (and idealy all ults) would be really cool
Yes, Orisa Fortify too I believe. I don’t consider those RELIABLE though because you have to be in the exact right spot in front of Rein with your team completely behind you for it to matter. When we’re in the territory of that kind of positioning and abilities that have cooldowns that Rein can watch for, I don’t consider it reliable compared to tossing up your barrier to block.
After that, you have some cool ideas and seem inline with what I am talking about. Shatter just simply needs a bit more counter play to me because it pretty much forces you to have a barrier tank as if the game isn’t already pressuring you to do so in the first place.
always wondered how people did that
