Is Refusing to Take a Perk Considered Throwing?

I’d say day/week one let’s refrain from it for now. Because it’s new and everyone is figuring it out first. I’ve won games so far where someone doesn’t pick them and if you skip all the pop ups before starting it’s not very obvious you level up. So no let’s not report it for now and preferably never.

maybe there should be an “auto-select” option in the options menu AND be set to ON by default lol

still… yea more problems and i am sure people will just be like meh im not picking anything. its not the games fault tho but yea… its more complicated now i guess

Dude…it took me three games and 2 different bindings to figure out, how to do it…chill.

Perks are optional… This makes me feel a lot better, at the same time I’m potentially putting myself at a disadvantage when the enemy team is all using their perks.

Not choosing perks will not make you play worse, if your bad at the game you will still be bad.

As long you are doing what your role entails I don’t see any issue.

Would you consider it an issue if a player never used their ult for the entire match? It’s not going to make a bad player any better.

What if they never use any abilities at all? Where do you draw the line about what is optional?

That’s the point isn’t though, optional means you can use them or not. If someone can still play with what they’ve been accustomed too and still make it work without a perk then that’s not a bad thing. I just got POTG after spending a week being worried that these perks would nerf my mains. Half my group wasn’t using perks. The enemy team went hard with perks and couldn’t even make it to the point. There’s no line to draw.

Im sure there will be an arcade mode with perkless.

Sure there is. Not leaving the spawn gets you kicked. Throwing a match can get you banned.

They don’t read or respond to reports other than text chat anyway. Does it matter?

Not leaving spawn has nothing to do with perks. Throwing a match has nothing to do with perks.

It was an example to demonstrate context. There clearly is a line of what is considered throwing. The developers have elected to kick players that never leave the spawn. That is a an established line.

No it wouldnt be, because they are OPTIONS. Option to stay base, or alter something. Dont worry.

Can’t wait to be flamed by my team for picking the “wrong” perks

It’s totally a$$ backwards.

It’s not optimal, but you’re playing with one your arms tied. Especially depending on the hero.

I’ll excuse being perkless in QP as long as ur still trying
