It’s pronounced more like yazan , though thesong is ![]()
Pharah is the perfect example of why mercy is the problem. Without a Mercy, Pharah is C tier at best. Even in all of YZNSA clips he has a mercy glued to him.
No, I don’t hate Pharah. I find her frustrating but tbh I never knew who YNZA was until like, a week ago lol.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they want to get her nerfed to boost their chances to win the cup, though, if the best player is on Pharah currently.
Yea you’re right it’s this single person the majority of the playerbase has never heard of. Couldn’t be the Phara-Mercy combo people have hated playing vs for 7 years.
They shouldnt nerf Pharah directly. They should lower the skybox of the maps so she has to play closer to the ground and creates less hard counter scenarios.
Key difference being it’s now being talked in t500 and pro circuit, even people like bogur ml7 are talking about pharah nerfs
Agreed the world cup shouldnt have major changes from prelims or people that got in may end up looking like they dont belong. World cup is different than owl and there is some places stuck with one tricks and more limited hero pool selection.
I started on console and Pharah was always hated there, especially on EU PS4 where I was because of all the Pharah one tricks who were toxic to teammates and very hard to hit as enemies due to controller aim being so unreliable. I have left out some context from this post so I don’t get reported but those who know, know ![]()
Pharah is hated because of pharah mercy being an easy combo to go if your loosing
I hate pharah mercy in masters because people who go pharah mercy in masters know how to use it and are usaly a duo and they are scary
Pharah gets hate because of how broken she is with mercy pocket. This was never news to anyone, it’s just the ynznsa guy is the last straw.
Phara nerfed? Like c’mon can we stop this already? Everyone and their mothers know mercy is de facto problem… said it for years. Every single hero can not be balanced around having a mercy pocket. Gut her already.
She’s arguably the most cancerous DPS in the whole game, but that’s only because of parasitic Mercy, and the key word here really is “Mercy”; without her, Pharah is actually relatively weak. I think they should just nerf the interaction between Pharah and Mercy, or just straight up rework or nerf Mercy, but either way, whatever they decide to do, I’d be fine with it. That combo has always been very repetitive and boring to play against, and it’s been that way since, say, some of the earliest days even in Overwatch 1.
she is broken for 7 years. the will never nerf her bcs its the easy way for mercy mains to get to high ranks. they even nerfed widow now so pharah has literally ZERO counters apart from playing ashe/cree with your own mercy AND dva or at least a shield tank. you have to swap your whole team to counter one hero. and this hero is actually mercy.
The funny thing is, if anything, world cup has proven she needs a buff lol. The no1 Pharah expert is still using Echo far more in WC than Pharah, which goes to show where the power really lies.
And what Silvers struggle with, is looking up and having discipline - which Pharah naturally is strong against. Plus when they see a Mercy they instantly fold and start blaming stuff instead of realizing (hey, they’re investing two people into flying around in the air, meaning there’s at least one free support on the ground AND a potential for a quick 5v3 before the Pharah can get anything done). But it’s easier to cry for nerfs, than to activate some brain cells (hence the rank of those who complain).
And with the first point, as a Pharah main at heart, it’s kind of a joke. Pharah is in a fine spot, doesn’t need nerfs nor buffs. She can even work on her own without a Mercy, but even high level players struggle with playing her without the pocket, but imo that’s fine it just leaves more of a skill gab requirement which I’m never against on any hero. Better that than the opposite.
If anything, I’d only look for ease of life changes, such as being able to cancel her ultimate for example instead of just hanging yourself to dry in the air for 3 days like Jesus on the cross lol. Fitting how both needs the resurrect afterwards too.
But definitely seeing YZNSA (and a couple others) pull out the Pharah here and there, and also have casters hype up his Pharah pick to the moon, certainly doesn’t help. Been seeing far more outrage on forums since the WC started, than before. Used to only really be on console that people were mad in general, but seems with the influx of new players, this lack of skill seems to add fuel to the fire of complaining about anything that takes a remote bit of skill.
That’s a good point because I would either switch to Tracer or Sombra and harass the second support because they are left vulnerable. By that time, Mercy could break away from Pharah leaving her vulnerable to get sniped out of the air.
No a lot of games above high masters is a Pharah/Echo Mercy fiesta right now.
That is exactly how to play it. Harass the second support, then the Mercy, then the Pharah at the end.
I find it so damn easy to counter Pharah players either directly by hitscan, or indirectly by diving their backline on Tracer. I guess it does make it easier to counter a hero, if you know how that hero plays and gets value, instead of just crying on forums ![]()
I don’t even know who that is.
I just dislike Pharah (esp. when paired with a Mercy pocket) because she’s difficult to deal with being one of the few perma-flyers. Hitscans can deal with her, but often times people don’t want to swap to deal with her or the Pharah is too evasive to be dealt with.
Also, Overwatch swapping over to 5v5 made them forget one thing.
THAT THEY SWAPPED TO 5V5.
A lot of heroes who came to 5v5 were fine, but uhm. A select few are still a bit busted (or underpowered) in the game’s new setting. Pharah and Zarya are two prime examples of being “intense” or “underwhelming” at the same time, depending on who is playing them. They can make or break the game if you don’t hard focus them, or they’re not very good.
Lifeweaver is new but still needs buffs before he’s in a perfect place (he’s much better than he was at the start).
Anyway, I don’t watch streamers. I just think some heroes need to be adjusted properly for the 5v5 setting, because Blizzard forgot that step for some.
I would switch to Ashe and snipe Pharah out of the air easily but now the strategy has shifted encountering more Pharmercy’s in matches, I literally have to switch to Sombra most times to off their second healer and hack the Mercy trying for the rez so that she can’t pocket Pharah then try to take her out before the second healer spawns back in.
