I know this is the internet and people have a hard time feeling empathy for someone far away behind a screen, but still. Yes, your teammates are doing poorly. Yes, you want to win. But is that really an excuse for calling them subhuman or dragging them through the mud? 9 times out of 10, a match isn’t lost because someone deliberately want you to lose. People may have a lot going on atm, they might be running on fumes after a work day, their connection may be acting up, they might be forced to play a hero they have no experience with (tank counterplay for example)… you don’t know. And that’s exactly why there’s no good reason to spew hate on them just because you had the misfortune to be matched with someone who isn’t up to snuff for whatever reason. Bad luck is never a good reason for insulting somebody’s worth as a person. We’re all adults here, or at least close enough to it. Act like it.
And if you disagree or can’t see this, then don’t waste your and everyone else’s time answering this post.

I’m convinced OW is just like irl. 80% are pretty chill and just want to play. The 20% are those that muddy the waters and makes everyone’s experience miserable. Tbh the matchmaking system is pretty messed up, but that 20% will make that cut a gashing wound and carry over to 80% chill players.

Let’s just say I’ve completely lost interest in the Drives today. And lost a little bit of the faith in human tolerance I didn’t even know I still had.

As unfortunate as it is, semi-competitive FPS games like this is a natural spawning ground for these types of people
Blizzard has implemented a handful of things to sway this behavior, but its human nature at the end of the day, and it sucks that its this way in particular with this game.

Ive been playing Stadium Comp and my chats have been surprizingly civil. Even after a Stomp match. Did my region mature as Human Beings? It sure feels like it.
