Is cancellation of PvE worthy of a class action lawsuit?

I don’t know how feasible a complaint is due to the recent PVE announcement, but someone seems to have managed to get a refund ( apparently) You can actually get a refund for the Watchpoint Pack!

and as I replied to its topic, a while ago a reddit post became particularly famous during the time when Kiriko witch cost $26.

“Casually” later that week the Overwatch marketing team changed a rule about bundles: it was possible to buy digital octents without having to resort to bundles. but the limited time rule is still valid with its psychological pressure to purchase despite the gameplay rhythms completely impede the possibility of a coin remuneration in acceptable times.

So, what we can do?

I think the best approach is to seek advice from consumer protection associations, if indeed there are the assumptions of something illegal in the current monetization of the game that always seems to exploit loopholes to justify the prices. they really are “exclusive” prices for what should theoretically be standard game content, and undoubtedly the conversion from OW1 to Overwatch 2 ELIMINATED the casual fun component of in-game collecting. I’m starting to suspect that the name “2” was put there to introduce legitimacy in saying “it’s not overwatch 1, this is a product that started life in 2022”, which is theoretically true for someone who is completely unaware of the controversial conversion between OW1 and ow2 with its promises and optimism about “redefining a sequel”.

However, we need to be very clear and objective about these details with consumer associations even before being emotional like “I feel it’s no longer my game” (argument that can be dismantled with the live service nature of the game). the 5v5, as well as the 2-2-2 were actually wards that are part of the balance changes, but in practice you still enjoy pvp gameplay. on the other hand, the collecting fun and the progression in one’s collection are different, fiercely blocked by a battle pass system that continuously asks you if you have purchased it at each leveling … and too many price tags that are not worth any weekly effort.

but one thing is obvious to all: ow1 has been canceled from that kind of gameplay satisfaction, and the average price of OW2 is really questionable. even the well-known fortnite has had this type of complaint, mainly because it did not have the right preview tools for its purchases. OW2 doesn’t offer them, and moira mime is the perfect example of this skin value scam. you can also highlight the old case of mei-rry skin (admitted and promised by the developers themselves that legendary classification was a mistake) as further proof of the illegality of the value of the skin.
