Maybe we can, but it ain’t Brig. She’s an anti-dive protector support. If they want to release a support/tank hybrid it’ll have to be someone else, maybe Echo will be
You shouldn’t be picking her if you need any of those things.
Yes. Which is specifically what she’s designed for. Dive comps thrive on teams who are split, teams who stay together with Brig are hard to dive.
That’s why you have to use the map & your tanks to protect you. If you’re holding a point they have to come to you. There’s no reason for you to want to peek since you don’t have ranged damage
It’s like you understand her kit but don’t want to play how you need to ![]()
Playing new Brig is like playing a tank nerfed to be squishy, with tanks limitations like range and mobility kept, and with it’s secondary healing abilities buffed. It’s counterintuitive to play a tank with low sustain.
But you aren’t playing a tank, you’re playing a support specifically good against dive & specifically good in brawl comps and not much else.
Brig is a tank by design, look at her kit! Is designed to soak up damage, healing was a secondary/additional value she could provide. They could easily remove her healing abilities, kept her tank aspect and moved her to the tank category.
Wrong. She is a support by design. She heals with everything she does. Tanks do not do that.
I went over why her kit is messed up a few days ago.
The heal packs seem fine, but idk about the shield tho.
And I have gone over why I think it isn’t. We all have our opinions. She performs great when played as she’s intended.
well no i don’t think so, you’re job as brig is to not only whipshot people away, it’s not only to stun people to let your team punish them, she got more than that from those abilities.
and honestly.
she doesn’t need to close gaps unless it’s to execute a play and in those cases you should have enough teamwork or good positioning to still make that work.
the only thing she’s actually lacking compared to some others is long range pressure, but that’s okay because she doesn’t have to, there’s other players in the game that can do that well enough without her, all she needs to do for them is make sure they don’t die too fast, and work the utility in her kit to her teams advantage, sometimes overhealing can win fights, sometimes one boop or one stun can do that too.
and just because the shield has 200 hp doesn’t make it useless, it can spare you from a one-shot that would have killed any other support.
and we know how many of those exists in this game.
the only drawback for brig i think is that she is more of a close ranged hero but that hasn’t stopped a lot of other characters has it?
the things you as a brig player have to rely on more now is corners and flanks and numbers advantage overall.
most of the other supports can’t do that, they can’t leverage numbers advantage quite like brig can.
She has a short range damage ability on her LMB and a Shield in her RMB. Her healings are abilities on cooldowns and a condition to be triggered, no other support has conditions to trigger healing or all healings on cooldown. She was a tank! An off-tank with healing as additional utility.
This does not make her any less of a support. She is unique in these regards because if she could just spam armor pack she’d be OP. If she just had a constant aura like Lucio she’d be OP (and not unique)
She was before the rework. She is now clearly a support.
Like I said, her kit is the same as a tank, but she heals more. A fragile support with a tank kit -> counterintuitive.
Like I said, tanks do not heal with their entire kit. Brig does. She is a tanky support that makes her team tankier. She’s not a support/tank.
She’s the tankiest support, no, she’s the tankiest hero in the game besides the actual tanks.
About heals… it does not matter if you have gold heals when you couldnt save your allys of burst dmg and they died. This wouldnt be such a problem ih her ult where defensive, but her ult is just ridiculous.
this was not the case before or after the rework.
She is the tankiest support - she could CC and soak up damage with her shield and self healing just like Mei and Roadhog can, but heals with a passive on cooldown and condition, and repair packs were as reactive as a tank ability. Way more easy to keep her as a tank, like Roadhog, and remove her teammates healing. It wouldn’t get counterintuitive.
hint been playing Mercy more and enjoying it
Me too, but mercy playstyle get tiring sometimes…
