Meanwhile this thread:
Is Ana really that op?
But do people still think shes like OP?
Turns out it was a good gottem
I hate that they removed the ability to post Youtube videos for us non T3 plebs
I dunno about OP or whatever, but I feel that the game’s moving in a direction that removes Ana’s pain points to play against, at least as far as I’m concerned.
I’ve never liked her high single target healing on tap. It feels like it rewards feeders; people take excessive damage, but instead of falling behind in the attrition game like they would with the original three healers, Ana pumps out some darts and gets Nano online faster. The DPS passive might be the worst approach to combat this, and from the other side of it I also hope they come up with a solution that doesn’t make healing a feeder with Ana feel annoying like it is currently, but it’s better than the previous situation imo.
Antihealing also feels like less of a big deal now that on-tap healing doesn’t feel quite as ridiculous, assuming your DPS are awake. When healing is toned down, it’s no longer as crucial to disable it via Ana.
If (Big if) they go ahead and make tanks more survivable in season eleven or whatever, then sleep will also be less of a pain point. It’s pretty amazing just how much damage a tank can get spiked for in the space of sleep’s knockdown. If tanks become tanky, then that’ll feel less gross.
Drop anti-heal to a sensible 50% already
Change dart to just apply a 50% reduce to movement speed and damage done, in return make it auto-lockon so its not missable
Now she’s a lot less anti-fun
Anti nade was never a problem, sleep dart on the other hand…
Post s9 Ana’s way more balanced, if anything I think she’s found a place where she’s as healthy as she can be with Nade existing as it does.
She really only works in metas and comps that lean toward her strengths, the enemy team can effectively counter her with Dive again but she still presents enough potential value that her team working with her to thwart enemy countering is worthwhile (this is on a case by case basis, my pretty weak Ana-ing is unlikely to be worth it but a better Ana player very well could be).
If anything, should tomorrow dawn and the devs say s9 and s10 were jokes prepare for a revert to s8 type balance at the start of s11 I hope they’d at least consider lightly nerfing Ana’s damage and healing (not exclusively hers, but she’s the topic), she functions without her three tap, she’s still worth running when her effective HPS is closer to 66. She really doesn’t need them back to still be effective and fun and having them gave her a stranglehold on the Support roster for the majority of OW2s run so far. Heck she’s back to being top dog and doesn’t have the 3 tap or constant 80+ HPS.
Not when I play her
Nade has been a problem for a long time. Nerfing Ana (and tracer) would have done a lot for the overall health of the game.
They’re jumping through hoops to avoid nerfing anti, which is weird. Nerf anti, which lets us nerf suzu, which makes the game overall much healthier
Tracer is still insanely overpowered lmao? How does the change to armour affect her interaction with Ana in any way. Now she’s incentivised to shoot squishies even more
The only real problem I have with Ana is not the effect of anti-nade itself, it’s how ez it’s NOT to miss the stupid thing. At least sleep dart requires SOME aiming.
Ana main here.
She isn’t OP now. But if they buff her, she’s likely going to go back to being OP.
Anti-nade is still problematic as an ability and I still would like it reworked/removed and tanks that had their survivability balanced around it should also be reworked a bit. But she’s not OP. And she isn’t weak.
Removing the enemy teams healing for 40% of the match is extremely powerful
I personally maintain the self-regen they gave Supports in OW2 is a massive buff to Ana because it reduced her dependency on her nade for self heal. This in turned allowed her to use nade offensively more freely, an in turn making her anti more of a constant threat
in OW1, without self regen, Ana had to constantly weigh using her nade for sustain vs anti. Putting pressure on Ana would restrain her anti attempts in the absence of healing from her other Support.
High pick rate = op
Generally good in every situation = slightly op
Counter 1/3 of heroes = op
You definitely gotta look in the mirror, buddy. Typical Ana main.
Ana is not that good since Season 8. Literally, all the threads of complaints about her faded away, since every dps is an Ana now.
They just had to give nade to half the roster, and suddenly nade wasn’t the ONLY thing that mattered. Except everyone has it.
