So I will learn to live with it…Because I can live with it…I can live with it.

(No one will probably get the reference)

But it is livable. I use to have it on PS4. I noticed quite often but it did not hinder my game play so much that I would give up. Thought sometimes it was annoying.

You can play with 150 ms delay, but bull**** will happen to you.

I used to play at a high skill level back in the 90s with 200 ping average it can be done its not a death sentence and its completely playable so 150 is fine. So many people are spoiled with great internet connections that they dont know anything else. Yea the net code is different now but trust me you can still do it. Don’t look for reasons to fail just do it.

Yes it would be better if you could consistently lower your ping but you can definitely succeed at 150.

High delay is a handicap. Pure reaction is not very feasible.

Honestly a little over a tenth of a second isn’t that noticeable and there are a lot of areas in the states that don’t have access to the best internet so you gotta play with what you got. I say go for it are you going to not play the game you enjoy because you have a very very slight disadvantage that some other people have a 1 tenth of a second delay faster then you?

It’d depend on what hero you are playing and what you are going up against.

Burst abilities will be a pain as they won’t go off fast enough and you won’t dodge fast enough when opposing them.

It’s not terrible, you’ll do okay. You’ll learn how to compensate and lead more with your shot with a slower latency.

I’ve heard having that kinda ping is a nightmare for widow mains.

I play daily with a 160 ping and it runs smoth, just not with DF and widow.

I sometimes play on US East servers when EU becomes unbearable to play late at night. Which means I play on ~150 ping. So here’s my insight.

It’s fine if you play support or tank (except Reinhardt, there’s some weird interaction with his shield and high ping - sometimes you’ll be shot with your shield up). It’s a pain in the rear if you play damage.

Also, enemy Symmetra’s turrets often become invisible with high ping, only the laser is visible.

Some food for thought.

I play with 140ping all the time. It works. I’d recommend staying away from Window and Hanzo.
I play D.Va, Pharah, Moira, Zen and Soldier in Comp and I don’t have any issues.
Never had any problems with Symmetra turrets not showing.

No it is not true. You will have a lot of issues with shots and actions not registering. I would refund. I play with 90 ping and the game is borderline unplayable.

Its a bad ping…
But in overwatch this ping is playable… So dont worry.:blush:
