want to clarify the landscape for people here, invisibility could be dealt with quite easily in ow1 by putting your back into a wall.
sombra would pop out from invis and try to hack you, while you are shooting her in the head. she would then run away to her translocator with you still above 3/4 hp. if you were roughly speaking below masters, you would have room to breathe for the next 10 seconds cause the sombra put her translocator so far away.
that all changed when virus was introduced which did all the work that sombra players cant do while she went back to being invisible waiting for you to be below half hp where she will come back out and finish you off thanks to her hp advantage.

It is honestly virus, but people do not understand that is where she got the most hate.

Invisibility without assassination capability = not a big problem.

Escape without invisibility = not a big problem.

Turns out things are connected. For me stealth still ranks #1, but of course I wouldn’t say it’s her only issue. A problem with OW1 Sombra was that she was useless without significant team coordination. That doesn’t make her annoying, but it’s still a problem and was arguably connected to her having permanent stealth, too.

thats a very useful table, helps you understand the hero a lot more.

Doesn’t matter she will be perma ban until devs banish her to the Shadow realm.
General playerbase wise it’s always going to be hack. That alone is why Sombra will be banned in comp for the rest of OW2’s lifespan.
