unironically screw you, blizzard

I just came from the Starfield Direct video that completely blew me away. A game I’ll get, along with hundreds more, via games pass for less than this. I know it’s not neccassarily a fair or direct comparison but man, it’s just tiring even trying to be a fan of overwatch anymore. I dunno…

more charges to wallet

Does everyone need to buy the story to play it? Or just the group leader?

I feel I already know the answer to the question, but I’m actually curious. I have friends who would totally play, but these are people who stopped playing OW in like 2017, so forcing them to buy seasonal content and buy bundles with coins they dont want means there’s a 0% chance they’re going to buy it. I honestly imagine getting them to pay anything is probably off the table.

Or until OW3 comes out.

Oh look… access to PvE but in $15 chunks rather than for $60 or whatever all at once.

Blizzard going to make 10 times as much selling permanent access to each mission over just selling a package deal. Classing Blizzard move.

It’s just a matter of time till WoW goes free to play but you need to pay $60 for each content patch.

It’ll be matchmaking based so everyone who plays will have to own it. Buying it will likely tag your account to be able to matchmake into that queue.

Not only cancel PvE but still want to charge on Story Missions. Dang, actiblizz is trying hard to make people hate their game.

Did they confirm that somewhere? I dont really see why being matchmaking rules out what I asked. There are definitely matchmade games that allow you to play DLC content as long as the party leader has it.

This article is full of bundle mentions.

“For x$ you get this. Buy for $x and you get this.”

15$ and $40 for a mode you’ve cowardly given up on.

And of course, you fill these bundles with useless stuff to inflate the prices.
If we only want PvE, without the coins and skins, for a derisory price, that’s a no.

I’m not even talking about the fact that we’ll have to pay again for all the other missions to come. How many in total do we have an idea of the final blow of this PvE Archive 2.0?

Finally, do you have any idea of the price? $40 for amputated PvE, level skips, coins and two lousy skins?
For $10 more, I got Starfield…

Shame can’t flag the OP for trolling.

That’s the nice part. Someone will definitely buy it, record it and upload it on YT for free.

Nope. Can’t play with bots.

They specify that permanent access requires money, so hopefully it’s free during the season.

If not, then I’ll just watch some poor soul that bought it on youtube or twitch or something.

While it’s technically possible, do we really want to give them the benefit of the doubt right now?

At this point any good news will have to be proven.

Finally you can pay money to play the basic heroes. Or even more money to play the OW2 heroes!
Not even gonna mentione the PvE, like ever since the battlepass was announced I knew the PvE will have some sort of silly monetization, but this is just ridiculous.

Blizzard might have community managers, but at this point I am pretty sure they also have a “how to strategically alienate our entire customer base” advisory board.

yep, i wouldnt mind paying for it but without a solo option, itll be a waste of money without anyone to play with
