Insane FPS drop in the loading screen

After the new anniversary update, whenever I open the game, I’m getting around 60-70 FPS, but after the menu screen animations load in, my FPS drops to around 8 and it’s never done this before so, I’m a bit confused, and a bit frustrated since I am not able to play the game.

I am also having this exact issue. It’s bogging down my whole game and I can’t actually play. I go into game with like 8-11fps which makes it unplayable.

Hey ---- So I found that if I revert back to an older version of Windows 10 (basically the build right before this current build) it fixes all the FPS drop issues. It would appear that something in the new build is causing issues, so there is really nothing that blizzard can do.

Also consider these standard tips can help resolve most Overwatch FPS drops:

Reset Overwatch’s Video Settings (Go to Options > Video, press backspace)
Update your graphic card driver.
Reset your graphic card driver settings.
In drastic cases you may need to reinstall the driver and update to the most recent driver for your card. Remember to use Display Driver Uninstaller to completely clean out your old driver. Then download the most recent NVidia or AMD for your system.
