There is no hero setting, and disabling secondary fire in workshop does not work.
Also means it’s impossible to change the cooldown for it.
Technically you can disable the button entirely, or set the cooldown actively each time, but this isn’t a very good solution. If I disable the button, the UI for the ability will still show it as available, and then I can’t use my own custom abilities on the secondary fire input.

I know it’s not a great fix, but you could set the cooldown to a really high number.
no, you can’t actually change the cooldown either, as stated in my post. There is no way to access the ability whatsoever. There is no setting in Hero Settings, and even trying to set cooldown for Secondary Fire via workshop actions doesn’t change it. It’s literally impossible to access, modify, disable, or change it whatsoever. It’s insane lol

A lot of reworks and new heroes are missing what I’d call basic custom games functionality (as in non workshop stuff! although of course it’s linked). No infinite ammunition toggle on Sierra or Shion and then Dire Triggers (and Flash Heal?) are missing options entirely.
I’m surprised that Shion’s bike can be extended at all but disappointed there’s no infinite toggle like with many other abilities, especially seen as they’ve shown one to exist internally in behind the scenes footage (the sound effects video from the season 3 developer livestream).
I’m impressed we’re getting 10 heroes this year, and I think the “smash hit” rate will be pretty high by the end of the year (I’ve enjoyed all the heroes so far to different degrees), but I’d love for a quality pass to be done on these secondary custom games features for them, also applying to reworks too, of course.

luckily Flash Heal is editable, it’s in the Hero Settings. I don’t know if you can adjust its cooldown with Workshop but I think so.
Most things that aren’t editable in Hero Settings are adjustable with Workshop script, but Dire Triggers is just missing completely and inaccessible.
Sorry! Didn’t check in game so that’s why it had a question mark. That just makes it even weirder and inconsistent…
From my experience, even the existing sliders are a hit or miss. I tend to modify them on a PvE mode, and not sure if just visually glitched or not, the changes to specific heroes you make to a team, apply on the other as well. Heroes are missing ammo customization, projectile gravity settings, healing output, sliders changing the wrong ability, etc. It needs some proper fixing and cleanup.
Yeah I also think they should add stuff for perks too. Id love to create different things based on what perk someone chooses.

So many unutilised things in custom games even outside of workshop! Give me all the options Blizzard please!

Really happy they’ve added an infinite bike option to Shion! Easy fix there that’ll make a lot of people happy.

I meant using rules. Like when he spawns, set the cooldown to 999.

you cant change the cooldown at all. Not with workshop or anything, you cannot access the ability whatsoever. Set Cooldown action in workshop does not work.

Set cooldown does work. I’ve used it on it. You can also disallow the button though

ah you’re right. When I tried it previously (when it first got moved to his base kit) it didn’t work, but it is working now.
Still, it’s a janky solution that looks ugly on the UI. Not being able to simply disable it with hero settings or workshop is still a bug that should be fixed.
Disabling the button entirely isn’t a solution for me because I want the player to use the button for something else.
Disallowing the button doesn’t stop it from registering with workshop is button held! It just basically doens’t allow abilities to read it.
oh interesting. That’s good to know.
