Im curious as to what are your thoughts on sombra and players who hold disdain for her? Because a lot of players hate her not for losing against her, but because they have to change their playstyle when fighting her. Yet theres high rank players just say ‘just play around her, overcome and git gud’. I would have assumed you are one such player that would say that, but im wrong and you do understand.
So your hate for rein is basically the same as why many hate sombra. Forced to worry about and play in a way you don’t enjoy. So i don’t entirely understand your hate for rein, i do understand the hate for having to play in a way you don’t like.
Is it on the level of the stormlight archive? I might check it out if so. I like fantasy.

ALL of this. I guess OP lives in OW1 with double shield being a thing and mains Widow so they hate “shooting at shields”. Even in 6v6 OQ he still doesn’t have his 2k HP shield back. Rein is gonna be so much nothing in stadium once they add Bastion or Pharah, cause you know they’re gonna be spamming rockets and nukes with every single step and your shield man can’t switch.
This is pretty fair… Normally when I have trouble fighting ball it’s because he’s so quick in ball form, but if he ever stopped to fight it’s normally easier. Ball has to attack from above to get a group stun/stagger other wise he’s done for
But man can ball hold and contest points. When they don’t want to die… they won’t die

Being forced to counterplay an opponent and being forced to enable a selfish teammate are not the same thing.

The feeling the player has, dislike for having to change how they play, is the same feeling. Akin to the disdain people have for playing against widows. You have to change how you play because of a hero choice from another player. Same feeling of annoyance, different hero.
How is the book though is it as good as stormlight?

What about the brawl dps players who prefer to have a reinhardt than a dive tank.
Do you want rein to be changed or reworked so your issues are softened? If so, how does that effect the brawl mains? Do they lose their brawl tank they like to play with?
Is your opinion common in gm, where most people hate playing around the rein?
They’re not the ones getting shafted when the Tank picks Rein. It’s the Supports.
I want every hero that isn’t independent to be reworked. No one should be fully reliant on someone else to play the game.
GM is a different beast entirely because if people don’t like what you’re doing they’ll just intentionally throw and derank you. Good luck being selfish in the most petty rank
What i meant is, a brawl dps is your other guy. He wants the rein. You’re on tracer, you demand your rein to swap to suit your needs. But maybe your other dps wants the rein. Maybe your support is lucio and ana and they’re okay going full brawl, maybe its kings row. Maybe its not, but its not a dive map. (I understand many not wanting a rein on a dive map)
You still hate the rein and want the swap. But there are some players on your team who want or are fine with the rein.
Who is the selfish one?
The beauty of overwatch is in the strengths and weaknesses of heroes. The less weaknesses there are, the more annoying they are and less enjoyable the game gets. This is my opinion.
I want all tanks released after the launch of overwatch to be deworked back to the philosophy the og lineup had. 1 mitigation. No primary attack while using it, if they can attack while mitigating, the attack is nerfed somehow. I.e. Zarya has rampup and needs to get flowing. Winston is tickling people. Yet dva cant shoot her primary, rein can’t swing his hammer, they have nerfed dps while mitigating. Hog cant shoot while healing.
Meanwhile orisa has full dps during both her mitigating. Sigma has full dps during his primary mitigator. Mauga has full dps while mitigating and healing… this is why I’m fine with doom. His mitigation is zero dps. Hazard is fine too, his mitigation is nerfed dps. Ram is fine, his primary mitigation is zero dps while his barrier is only 4 seconds, and cannot be used during his primary mitigation.
Thats Balanced mitigation. Imo. With Ram perhaps getting close to the ‘doing too much while mitigating’ crowd.
But all tanks including the ones that are dive, i think should get more weaknesses.
That, or balance differently 5 v 5 for 6 v 6. You want do everything tanks because you like 5 v 5 and want deathmatch, not caring about teamwork. I dislike do everything tanks because i like 6 v 6 and enjoy teamwork.
I’ll never reach that rank. Im not good enough currently and have no asperations to do homework to get better. I put my energy into life and the gym. Gaming is just for fun to cool off.
But it sounds like even if i did, if everyone is that petty i am very glad im not in that rank. And i could understand why some people would consider smurfing to get away from people who partake in that sort of childish pettiness.

The brawl DPS is not changing his playstyle with the Rein in the game or not. I am not on Tracer either. Even if he wants the Rein, he’s not being forced into playing a certain way no matter what.
The Supports, on the other hand, are forced to focus exponentially more on healing the second Rein is chosen, making the role very boring and just not fun to play. Even if some people like it, most good Support players don’t enjoy having to basically healbot for most of a game. The Supports are being forced into a less fun playstyle specifically because Rein is in the game.
You can have weaknesses without being a throw pick if your team doesn’t enable you.
I don’t want deathmatch, and I don’t mind teamwork. What I mind is one player essentially telling me “I’m going to do this, so you have to do this as well unless you want to lose sr”.
No one said anything about Tanks doing everything. I just don’t want them to be throw picks without enabling from their team. That can’t work anymore.
GM is not worth the grind or the effort it takes to get there. The games are exhausting and between the boosted players and the ridiculous ranges you can get (I’ve seen Plat to Champ before…) you’re not even guaranteed good match quality. I’m well past the point of caring about my rank because of that.

don’t listen to him guys, keep grinding to GM and the game will get better, trust,trust.
spoiler it’s the same in every game.that’s what you get for being in the rank with some people that play 10-16 hours every day.
