Why is this stupid hero in the game? They remove Symmetra’s tracking power washer, and then go and add Moira… a hero that requires literally 0 skill. And there is no way to convince me she doesn’t. Lock on, long range laser; AOE heal spray; undetectable escape ability (that now lets her jump extremely high on top of that); damage and heal orbs that, again, require no skill, you just throw it. Her ultimate is a giant death/healing beam. Why is she in the game? People say Brig killed the game blah blah Goats blah blah, but MOIRA? SHE created the coffin. What made them think her kit was a good idea?

OP has a point. I wouldn’t call Moira broken (she doesn’t have a high enough ceiling), but it is way to easy to put in work with her. 2 forms of self healing, an undetectable escape, and a lock on primary can make her a 1v1 nightmare

I wouldnt call heroes that are underperforming easy. They have to put in more effort to get value.

Yeah this. She might be easy to play, but between her low value, and and weaknesses both direct and indirect, she has to work harder to get the same value as say Bap zen or brig

and the worst of this is that they keep buffing her patch after patch, experimental after experimental like she is some kind of bad hero, which is not the case… that fade jump she got made her better than Ana on maps like anubis and even king’s row, right now she got a better Mei slow with her melee and a mini Sigma flux on coal
she needs a rework for more skill expression and to feel less stupid / cheese to play against, not net buffs (and the devs don’t even know what to give her)…

I wouldn’t say that she’s broken in the sense that she’s too powerful, I don’t even see her in diamond, but I think her kit is seriously flawed. I hear people defend Moira saying it’s fine if she’s powerful in low rank, just as long as she isn’t meta. I think that’s a dumb opinion. I firmly believe that a player’s skill, whether mechanical or intellectual, should be the only deciding factor when it comes to who wins or who loses. Obviously that’s an ideal that is never going to be fulfilled. However, I think most Moira players are carried by her stats and ease of use and forgiving design. Moira is also damaging to the game because she has AoE healing. Not as good as Brigitte or Baptiste, but let’s hope she never will be.

I dont get this moira hate, she is the healthiest healer in the game atm. Nothing in her kit is overpowered, she has an escape, and she can defend herself relatively well against flankers.
Most importantly, she doesnt have a damage boost. 5/7 we need more moiras.

I wasn’t even going to make a Moira rant in the first place, but she killed me at the end of the match and it made me angry. Don’t even remember what I was going to write about in the first place. Obviously not as important as a Moira rant.
more Moiras… that don’t have an entire kit of abilities that require no aim whatsoever.

All I’m saying is that for newer or less frequent players, Moira is a nightmare. Her base power level is too high, and her ceiling is too low. She terrorizes low ranks and sucks at high ones

it is a good question on why introducing a hero with a pretty basic kit. my take that this game is a hero shooter and not a battle royale, CoD, or a “serious” e-sport like csgo or its copycat valorant. i like that there are simple heroes in the game and i love playing them. most of the heroes are pretty basic anyways and yea some take a bit more mechanical skill but its not nothing special. also right now she is the weakest support so take that.
im sure if she ever gets buffed to be relavant in the highest tiers we’ll hear moaning again from streamers and the forums
