This Hero ban is probably the worst one so far, the maps are really getting boring af
Im just losing and losing and a lot of those situations could have been solved if i could play some of the banned heroes, but guess what i cant, and now we have Pharmercy running rampant and in Console they are the worst thing ever
Tracer is another one of those heroes due to Mcree and Sombra being out
Like seriously, im just not having fun in any of the games im at this week…
Hero ban should just get removed, so far its caused more problems than solved, and it also makes balancing even worse since you dont have the scenarios of how is x hero vs x hero or how is x hero paired with x hero
It only makes balancing more complicated since you no longer have all heroes available and the info can easily be inaccurate
Also that you are denying players playing their favorite heroes for an entire week

I’ve already uninstalled, I’m done until they fix competitive queue times and add 1-3-2 so I stop getting inting DPS-tanks and DPS-supports in 4/5 of my matches. Blizzard has been self-sabotaging since 2014 and they can’t keep it up for much longer.
Only DPS players understand how infuriating it is to wait 10 minutes for a 60% chance of getting a huge-impact tank or support thrower, then needing to wait another 20 minutes to lose and then when you finally lose, the DPS player ends up having more of a punishment for actually trying compared to the throwing tank or support who only has to wait <5 minutes to throw again while the DPS needs to wait >10 minutes for another 60% chance of waiting 20 minutes to lose while trying to carry again. If this is intentional by design, Blizzard is evil and isn’t going bankrupt fast enough – if not then fix it with 1-3-2.

i agree with you and i already did it, not playing for a week because my favorite hero (dva) is banned
also i agree 100% with it makes balancing even harder
Sombra main here, I don’t like the bans.
They are stupid, especially in a competitive game mode. A better way to spice things up would be to balance their characters better so more are viable more often but it’s too much to expect people to actually do their job.

First) Wrong. It will definitely reduce the number of inting DPS-tanks/supports. It will definitely reduce DPS queue times. It will definitely give more target freedom to supports. It will definitely greatly improve the quality of Overwatch competitive matches after it is balanced correctly.
Second) Your gold strats suck and at least one of my tanks or supports are still inting the enemy.
it’s pretty simple if you don’t like the bans then don’t play comp for a week why tell everyone

Yeah, but after 4 years and OW2 around the corner, we’re obviously not gonna get rapid balancing. Rather then goats or double barrier being meta for a year, I’ll take weekly bans to force variety.

I dont mind the concept but dont ban 6 pharah counters so she gets played. Ban widow, soldier and mccree maybe but at least let tank have their ONE pharah counter and let us keep bap. Its way OTT and a blatant attempt of keeping pharahmains happy for a week.

It’s not just because D.Va is banned. It’s because they took out most of the heroes that can effectively counter others. Pharah and Doomfist are going to have a field day this week and it’s NOT gonna be fun. I know I’m not gonna play this week simply because of that. Ashe is not going to be enough to take care of Pharah and don’t even get me started on Doomfist. Or Tracer and Genji even.
These bans aren’t thought through and shouldn’t have made it into live, this is what experimental should’ve been for.
