No, it’s quite literally saying he was in a romantic relationship with Vincent, but Solider 76 chose his work over his relationship (Ever heard the phrase “married to his job”?), and now Vincent is married and Solider has accepted it, even if it makes him sad. Ana also says Solider used to have hope for their relationship and it was part of his motivation for fighting in the war. Ana also talks about her relationship with Sam (Pharah’s father) right after, so they’re both talking about ex’s it seems.
