Season 8 and 9 I was in masters with only Dva. Had work and couldn’t maintain it so I let it decay to 3000. Nerf after nerf made it hard to rank up afterwards that and making up 675 sr would’ve been quite the investment.
Maintained diamond since then until this season due to leavers.
Wish I had just maintained it until they did away with decay.

I got placed in Masters last season’s open queue by some miracle so I wouldn’t know what it feels like to work your way to Masters but god damn, you did it with D.Va.

Legit, if they buff dva, AND keep all these small buffs they’ve given her, she might actually be OP again. I’m just worried because I don’t want her nerfed into the ground again when she becomes viable again.

If roadhog goes to the dumpster then Reinhardt or some variant of shields should return. If that happens then Dva will end up lower in pick rate than where she currently is just like before the roadhog buff. The only reason she’s gone up at all is her utility in keeping roadhog alive by deleting ana’s abilities.
She still needs proper buffs but at this point so do quite a few other tanks. Maybe we’ll see some kind of blanket tank buff to something other than shield health soon.
I’ve played Dva since day 1 and her primary fire is now the most consistent it’s ever been. It’s such a good change considering one of the buffs I’ve been wishing for would’ve been a spread decrease. Making the spread consistent works much in the same way with more pellets landing where they didn’t beforehand. It’s a good pattern too with the majority being centered to the line at the middle of the asterisk type pattern.
Finally it feels like you are actually contributing at longer ranges instead of doing nothing at all.
Perhaps when this experimental goes through, we’ll end up in a surprisingly balanced state among all characters with supports, shield tanks, and dps being all nerfed including putting roadhog in line with the rest of the tank cast.
I think it depends on where they want the game to go from here because when you take a step back and look at how much they’ve been doing to put the characters in line with the rest of the cast, we might finally see a bit of normalcy with no real mandatory picks.
