If you're on the winning team you do not have the right to say "gg"

The argument could be flipped around to say that most people that get tilted at anyone saying gg to them after they lost to anyone(especially the small minority that is genuine) are the same people that only say gg when they win.

I highly doubt it, because it’s a subtle, subconscious brag. The people who do it don’t even realize they’re gloating. They THINK they say it after they lose, but they’re back in lobby queuing for another game the second they see DEFEAT. “GG” is their sigh of relief after winning a game where the win was all that mattered, not the game.

It’s the people who only say it when they lose (or in response to a GG from the loser) that notice just how many people only say it when they win.

Of course I am just talking from what I know about the system. Being on the switch and not having match chat I am neither of the people you listed.

No, people like you simply interpret that way because you are being sore losers. Don’t get me wrong, it can be HARD to keep a good mental in a solo queue ranked environment, but that doesn’t change the fact that people saying gg are rarely gloating or saying it toxicly. Hell even when they are it’s almost always more then just a gg. People being toxic in that manner want to make it clear. They will gg ez, spam gg, say things like gg stay bronze/silver/gold/plat/diamond/masters/low gm.

Nope. Stopped reading there and ignore listed since once again some ignoramus assumes I am talking about me. I’ve actually taken stats over hundreds of games. Over 80% ONLY SAY IT WHEN THEY WIN. They also only GR when they dominate the round - easily observable on KOTH maps. Unlike you, some people can be impartial and observe the world without being on a side. Grow up. Take some psychology courses.

Whether people say it more when they win or lose is irrelevant. You interpreting it as a gloat is on you. Also your stats don’t show your point at all, you are using them in a vacuum. What’s the average time people stay in a lobby after a win or loss? How many losing teams had friction within their team? Who initiates a gg more? What’s the average response rate and time for a gg? etc. There is also the fact that you are not a representative sample. You have an effect on the results.

You can call me an ignoramus all you want, but you are the one making a stretch here.

Also of note. I have a minor in psychology. I realize that doesn’t make me an expert, but your baseless “Grow up. Take some psychology courses.” attack at the end is rather immature and inaccurate. I realize I won’t get a response since apparently this person has added me to an ignore list, but just gonna point this out anyways.

How old are you?

If I offend people by saying gg then GOOD. They deserve the pain for being as sensitive as a Teletubby.

saying gg is fine if youre consistent. if you only say gg when you win and never when you lose youre a weirdo.

Not weirdo. Sore loser. Braggy winner. The opposite of a good sport.

Sore winners are worse than sore losers, imo.

I wish I could smack people offended by GG.

What about people offended by GG EZ?

As the countdown for the match begins:

3… 2…–gg.

Right, which was the right way to do it. Starcraft had a real sense of sportsmanship at least where I was playing.

I’m close to 50, old enough to know that attitude won’t get you far in life.

Wasn’t really talking to you, Grampy.

The point stands. Just follow Wheatons law and you will be good.

I won’t support anyone that gets offended by something meant to be a positive gesture. Stop coddling them. That’s why they are how they are.
