This is true. Hell some people still feel like Hanzo is a throw pick if you don’t headshot the entire enemy team as they come out of the spawn. lol
For someone who wants to become a great, known junkrat one trick at high ranks, you sure complain a lot about other hero picks that aren’t any less effective than your main.
Symm has just as much synenergy with bunker as junkrat has btw. But she synenergies better specifically with orisa, bastion and torb moreso than junkrat does.
Um not really sym is such a good hero my friend plays her and most of the time we win!! Plus watch transcend gaming on YouTube and you will see how viable sym is !!

The thing with these characters is diversity. We get many shield breakers, many AOE healers, some kind of different barriers, but what playstyles are similar? We dont have a similar character to Sym 2.0(playstyle wise) or a similar character like Mercy 1.0. These reworks took away these playstyles that people enjoyed.
Of course, all these reworks left a bitter taste for some people, and while overall these reworks made the characters much better(1 TRULY OP, one TRULY annoying and 2 that are better than previous versions), you dont have characters that are similar in playstyles to really switch to something else.

And I bought overwatch cuz I saw an angel raising the dead, a Korean waifu in a megazord and a woman building stuff out of thin air and thought it would be the funnest thing ever and it was 10 reworks and 60 nerfs ago. Your reasons are not my reasons but my money was just as real as yours

I feel like a sym is a better hero now especially as a teleporter as ability u could do multiple things with it and people just underestimate her? Like ofc some people wouldn’t work against some comps however sym could also melt some comps:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Just play Lucio with her. It’s a lot of fun and I bet the sym likes it.

I don’t get why this is still being argued. One tricks aren’t bannable. They aren’t against the rules. That’s it. Jeff has made this clear.

Yea i know that, it was stated even on the old forum by other person from dev team, what leads to plaing symm not being reportable also.
That doesn’t make it right and Jeff has never said one tricking or playing whoever you want at anytime is acceptable.

I know it’s not reportable and it definitely should especially when the director says “you are risking the experience for others” AND “it’s good to get with your team”
Yea, but if you force someone who play hero to play something else that is not good either if they are not willing to swich, and you report them for that. And reporting someone for plaing hero even if they actualy try or just spamming how trash they are is alredy harrasing this person what is reportable.
I never reported bad symmetra or widow, or junkrat or any hero people say they are trash.
I reported people, who could not stop complaining about picks, and spam how bad their teammates are. They are people who leading game to lose way better than anyone else.
Yea but if you for example take reinhardt main, and say to him he should be diva insted because “that is a team comp, swich or report” you actualy might asking him to swich to hero he dont know how to play and instantly bring yourself closer to lose.
Same for symmetra mains, there are some good once out there, and forcing them to play for example mccre not gona help you win

Problem here being that hanzo genji and hitscan are generalists that can always be used and you can get away with one tricking. How many posts have you seen being angry at genji or hanzo one tricks for not swapping. Having one be fully niche and other work in every situation including that niche is kind of the definition of unfair

The biggest tip I can give you is this:
Always, whenever possible, put your turrets on the ceiling or ABOVE where your enemies will enter. Especially depending on elo, a lot of people get disoriented when they have to look up, or don’t look up at all. Plus since the first person in is usually Reinhardt or another tank, when that tank looks UP to see where the turret is, they aren’t watching their team anymore.
