He really doesn’t tho… like, one sombra to hack him. One genji to deflect. A mei wall. Defense matrix. There is a tonne of ways to shut down a bastion with one hero.

Those bastions are camped out behind one or more barriers with DPS running interference and supports keeping everyone alive/damage boosting.
The fundamental difference there is…the rest of Bastion’s team.
Compared to a Widowmaker who will be perched on high ground, alone.

So why you complaining about a single widow dropping back to her team for support? Literally doesn’t make sense.
Your assumption is based on a slippery slope fallacy. “they won’t stop at these one shots”.
The problem with this line of thinking is there are plenty of other one shots and combo’s that can kill players just the same, and people are fine with them. They’re not all attached to primary weapons and require some kind of risk to them.
McCree has to be up close to flashbang before he can fan.
Ana’s 3 combo consist of an animation lock that’s near frame perfect.
Rein’s charge leaves him completely vulnerable and can be easily punished during and after.
Ashe requires some kind of team coordination in order to get optimal value out of, on top of having the same mechanical skill a Widow needs.
Seeing the pattern here?
Widow and Hanzo just click heads and get value. Most of the time from relative safety on high ground that 3/4ths of the hero roster can’t even get too. Often with perfect sight lines into choke points that demand the enemy come through.

Tbh I’m killing Widow a lot easier than before since Sigma came into the game. If anything, Doomfist is the one who needs a nerf.

Doomfist and hanzo are territble to… but widow is worse because is harder to counter than doom and hanzo.

Digging in for shallow methods of invalidating someone’s opinion is telling to your credibility. You clearly do not think Widow is a problem - share reasons why.
Trying to use someone’s main or avatars in an attempt to invalidate someone’s opinion is incredibly unproductive and adds nothing - zero - to the discussion.
To save you the trip, my profile is public and I main Sombra, Ana, Mercy, and Widow is my 4th most played with 80 hours. I still think she’s a problem.

it really comes down to the teams tbh. I’ve played the character up to roughly 830 hours and Sombra is the hard counter to widow. COupled with shields and barriers. If there is enough shields about any ranged DPS in this game has to switch.

So you want her nerfed just so you can come back here and whine about how she sucks now? Or do you want her nerfed so you can yell at your team member who picks her and accuse them of throwing?
Gonna be honest here. I am absolutely SICK of this argument. “Just get behind a shield. Use the walls. Just don’t stand in her sight lines!” Yes. Absolutely. And that works. Oh yeah it does. When you aren’t trying to contest the point. Or you’re not trying to do your job and kill the enemy team. But the absolute second your head peaks out from behind one, you’re dead.
You know when it doesn’t work? When Widow is in the hands of someone like Kenzo. He legit made a youtube video of him doing trick shots, using grapple to pull himself up to go flying through the air and headshot that poor little squishy STANDING BEHIND THE SHIELD where they should have been safe. That is why I absolutely hate that argument.
Is it incredibly hard to land those shots? Yes. Yes it is. I’ve tried (then again, I’m on console and my aim with Widow is mediocre at best). But they happen. Those are the most crap shots ever when a shield that is supposed to protect you is simply bypassed and ignored.

No hero should be useless. I don’t want Widow or any other hero to be a throw pick. She’s simply too strong / unfun / dominating etc
