I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of younger people and people who had access to lesser education were more ignorant about it since it’s a piece of classical literature.
But to conflate that with unimportant or unknown is just mindblowing.
It’s one of the most famous and influential novels of its era out of there and it continues to inspire and influence to this day.
