Months of posts about Sombra
So either: 90% of the playerbase has no idea how to counter Sombra OR
And this is a crazy thought…
OR
The hero needs some type of rework because its just not completely balanced.
She’s being played in top 500 right now though? What’s the point of this post?
Because I am a support main. And she is not Op, she is frustrating to play against, specialy as support.
point is that Elite Bronze- Platinum players complaining about useless Sombra.
They do not want to learn how to improve and counter.
Staying in group = Sombra can not do anything.
She has a lot of counters.
They are just loud. Sombra is not good. She was decent with virus boost, now she is F tier again. Same with Moira, her damage was fine, after nerf she is useless as well.
Months of posts here, a place the devs pretty much have to stomach through to read…then once in every blood moon they visit and mention they’ll be more communicative… Then the forum acts accordingly and they immediately remember why they didn’t listen to anyone here in the first place.
There is a breaking point where nerfs will just make heroes non-competitive and their t500 players will just stop playing or drop out or leave the hero.
Case in point, Symmetra.
Because a sizeable percentage of the player base doesnt have the mechanical skills to play tracer. Sombra’s aimcone/distance falloff is tunable per the DDA mechanics, so the bronze players can still feel like they’re contributing during a quickplay match.
For the several millionth time I’ll respond to this misinformation.
The vast majority of people do understand how to play against her in at least one way. Most understand most of of the ways to counter her.
But again, the gameplay loop that counterplay forces is not enjoyable to those of us who complain about her design.
It doesn’t matter how many insults you all throw out, it doesn’t matter how much you try to downplay it, we just do not enjoy the gameplay loop countering her entails.
Because I’m considerate. No really i don’t like it when the enemy goes sombra, why the hell would it be ok for me too

Trying to get your bronze-plat team to stay in a group feels like herding cats most of the time. I’d love if my team would actually do that, but they don’t +50% of the time.
Like you I don’t think she’s OP. She’s annoying as she’ll spawn camp me as supp until I swap to Moira and tbag her. I don’t like being forced to play another character, and Sombra is a big offender of that.
I had this thought the other day that the devs have let Sombra run rampant like this in order to teach players to stick together… if anybody’s interested in a lil conspiracy theory
That could be said for any hero though
