should they just play projectile and not be able to interact with you for 90% of the game though?
like what do you expect if you pick pharah/echo
that people are just gonna force heroes that can’t even interact with your hero pick?

Kiriko or Ana, otherwise hard throwing and unable to do anything unless the enemy team its bellow 2 tiers behind you.
The most fun part its when the game actually tells the player " THERE IS A SNIPER GET COVER"

very balanced yet very not fun. which is proving the point that it never was about balance, but about fun and engagement. and you wont achieve that in players by looking at spread sheets and tweaking numbers down to decimals bc their winrate in plat and above is just a tad too low.
ow1 with 6v6 wasnt fun bc it was balanced. it was fun because it was a mess. a mess always on the brink of falling apart.
Doesn’t mean the hitscans and snipers be so oppressive it’s actually unfun for literally anything else but hitscans and snipers.

That’s also besides the point, there’s actually plenty of heroes, including projectile who interacts with airborne heroes. It’s just they aren’t well designed afterall, at least compared to Marvel. It’s actually crazy, but, they do have much more oppressive airborne heroes, yet, even brawlers are capable to leaping and interacting with them.
Meanwhile in OW2, buff gun cuz buff gun, otherwise flyers fly. Then nerf heroes who are capable of interacting with them ironically (not hitscans). Perpetual problem goes full circle. We got out of it one time, by accident and went back right into it lmao.

That game director does a lot of talking and word salads and not enough tuning. That had to be at least half a days worth of work to think and write that up.
Cover doesnt win games. Standing on the coverless point does. Overwatch 101 basics.
He uses the word salads and lawyer talk to not have to tune the game.
