If Every Overwatch Hero had 24 hours to try and kill you

why not make two teams just in case?

I’m originally thinking lore but I didn’t specify when I made the post so you’re free to do whatever you’d like

Doomfist - he’s pretty much a one-man army (T2)

Winston - the only hero we know of to beat doomfist so he’s there to eliminate that weakness) (T2)

Soldier 76 - for obvious reasons (T3)

Widowmaker - Talon’s most elite assassin - she can pick off anyone from a range and if she’s covering doom’s back they make an unstoppable combo (T3)

Reinhardt - for protection (T1)

Baptise - become immortal 4head (T1000)

I’m just going to assume there are 3 tiers

If lore based all one would need is Sombra as she could physically and digitally make you disappear for the 24 hours.

Yeah, but she can also betray you.

would they only be able to use in-game abilities?
if not, and they are simply real-life version of themselves with their powers brought out without any balancing in mind, sigma would definitely be a must-have on your team. he’s probably the most powerful individual in the entire cast.

Bap mercy brig rein cree lucio

  1. mercy, because as long as she stays alive if I die she can revive me.

  2. widow can already one shot the majority of the cast

  3. rein because rein

  4. genji because genji

  5. echo because her ult basically means I can have anyone I want on my side via that

  6. sombra might be useful assuming she she can cloak other people, if not then idk

or…

I could just kill myself, they can’t kill me if im dead. and an hour or 2 before the 24 hours are over mercy could just revive me

Alright, I’d hole myself up in the cupboard under the stairs and hire the following…

Widowmaker: She can hide on a rooftop somewhere and take down anyone who comes near my complex.
Mercy: She can fly around and heal anyone who needs healing, strengthen my defenders, and resurrect anyone who gets killed…including me if it comes to that!
Bastion: He’ll be near my front door to blast anyone who dares approach.
Sombra: I live in Sydney (AUS), so public transport is a must. Sombra can use her hacking skills to disrupt the attackers’ commute.
Symmetra: She can set up a teleporter between my cupboard and another safe location so I can teleport quickly if in danger. Her massive shield will be at the front door to protect Bastion from danger, meanwhile her turrets will be around my back door, as will she to ensure the turrets do their job.
Doomfist: If my death is inevitable, I’d like to die in his arms specifically. :v:

I genuinely think I’d survive, honestly.

Sombra: I’d rather have her on my side than against me. She’d be one of the deadliest heroes, in reality. She can disrupt the advance of my attackers.

Bastion: Can deploy itself around corners as a last minute defense, and take out any intruders.

Roadhog: I mean the guy was hired to be a bodyguard, he’s gotta be pretty good at it, right?

Baptiste: Can’t die if Immortality Field is used on me. Kinda cheap but… my life is on the line.

Mercy: Also a cheesy idea but Ressurect could bring me back, meaning they didn’t actually win.

Orisa: A fortified defender, she would probably set up near our Bastion and provide barrier protection and cover fire.

I live in a city of 8.4 million so hiding is my best bet, and the priority would be on people who can track. Hanzo, Sombra, and Widow can easily find people, while DF has connections to such people. Genji and Ana are probably skilled infiltrators and assassins too, so I’m adding them to the list. With those 6, the biggest fear then becomes aerial reconnaissance, but one hour is enough to disappear into the underground transit system, and then they’re never gonna find me.

I mean lore wise some are so astronomically powerful that they would be the clear picks. Just give me Sigma and Doom and they could likely handle the rest.

Sigma actually controls gravity and could just stop anyone getting near you in their tracks while Doom uses his skyscraper destroying punches to obliterate them.

This is simple.

  1. Doomfist: Lore wise he’s the strongest hero. His shields can’t be broken easily, he defeated Genji who lore wise took down an entire organization of criminals.
  2. Widowmaker: The best sniper in the world. She won against Ana (abeit barely) when she was at her most powerful.
  3. Sigma: He has gravity powers and throws a giant rock.
  4. Baptiste: Immortality Field would be broken irl.
  5. Genji: He’s very powerful lore wise and he’s one of the shimadas who can control a dragon
  6. Bastion: My last defense hero. If somehow everyone else is defeated Bastion will go brrr.

Of course, if we are talking about their in-game strengths then gg go next

Nah he succ, Roadhog’s the one man apocalypse

Here’s my tier list (unordered and focusing on lore since gameplay wise, you lose most games if you’re down a player, now imagine being down 26 players vs your enemy)

S Tier

Doomfist

Man was getting shot at by both tracer and Genji, and just stood there thinking “what can I do to take care of these chumps” Dude can level Skyscrapers, if you tried to defend yourself while in your own home or any building for that matter, say goodbye to that house buddy, you have to pick him or just die within a few minutes. He’s also very intelligent and a great fighter, he was able to stop tracer who can blink extremely often unlike in the game

Sombra

She can be invisible permenantly, they have 24 hours to kill you, she could be scouting your house and relaying info for a precise plan to take you down, she could just blink into existence out of nowhere and shred you with bullets if you’re distracted for even a second, picking her is the safe choice even if I think she wouldn’t be that threatening towards the other 26

Widowmaker

She’s a trained assassin that can land crazy shots from far distances, she can also lay traps, reposition and is able to track the locations of any attackers, I live in a rural area so if she stays somewhere in the woods around my house, she could get bare minimum 1 free headshot on anyone trying to kill me which is insanely valuable.

Sigma

A shield and telekinesis, one of the most broken abilities in theory although what sigma is capable is a bit of a debate, could he just walk outside, lift every single heroes weapons out of their hands, line them up and just fire back at them? Does he have a very basic understanding of his abilities because he’s so insane? IDK but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Winston
  • Dude beat Reaper, who can turn into gas at will and wields shotguns with one hand, and Doomfist, with some “”“help”“”. His lightning brought reaper to his knees so it’s not a tickle gun like it is in the real game where Lucio survives 6 seconds before dying
Mercy
  • I would count myself dying, even if mercy can rez me, a defeat. Regardless, Being able to revive any of my teammates so long as they die in a position she can bring them back, is unbelievably valuable.
Echo
  • She can turn into any hero, in game she gets their ultimates faster so she might be even stronger than the actual hero, but if you personally feel that she would be worse, which is fair, she would still be a make shift fill teammate, copying a S tier hero already warrants her place in S tier

A Tier

Genji

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Genji an assassin before? He infiltrated Hanzo’s place in his animation and could dodge all of his shots, he can potentially deflect bullets in the lore, which is S tier worthy if that’s true in the lore

Soldier 76

Man’s got aimbot, and was one of the strategists for OW so he can help you come up with a plan to save the day. And he’s also better than an average soldier since they apparently “pumped stuff into him” to make him better.

Mccree

presumably just as good (or at worst, a bit worse) with the gun as Soldier, although he’s (presumably) faster on the draw, and accomplished more than Soldier (beat all of Ashe’s goons, her and B.O.B.) without harming either of the last two, (assisted Reaper through that one OW archives mission) while I think Soldier lost a 1v1 with Reaper in the comics, kinda cringe bro

Tracer

Almost S Tier, she can blink so so many times in the lore it’s insane, imagine if she dropped the weird pistol and just went with a crazy future shotgun or something, damn, I’m assuming the pistols are so she doesn’t kill the people she ends up firing at so she might not be that lethal in reality

D.va

Nerf this to your house is kinda scary, I can see her being very threatening on the attacking team and very difficult to manage on the defending team, barriers are way stronger and more consistent in the lore, Brig could tank that massive robot’s laser in the OW2 cinematic so relying on defense matrix would be ehh, and if you wanted to heal D.va’s mech, you’d need to pick torb on your team while all non robot heroes get regular heals.

Hanzo

Also very close to S Tier, Literal assassin, can summon dragons at will, can send a sonar pulse and find your position, second best hero for long range, imagine one shot breaks your window and he fires a scatter arrow through it, yikes

Wrecking Ball

Lil dude won a Junkertown death battle, he could probably destroy whatever building you’re hiding at, and destroying his ball would presumably be just as difficult as destroying D.va’s mech, except his doesn’t have a glass plane as the massive weakness.

Baptiste

Any PvZ players can compare him to the Gloom Shroom alternative strategy for endless. If you want a Sombra-less run, you can have Bap be on the watchout for Sombra, if she tries to pop in and kill you, he has his frisbee. I have no idea about any of baps lore btw.

Reaper

Can turn into literal gas and dip, he can wield a shotgun with a single arm, he should probably win every fight if he stopped fighting super-powered gorillas that he cant help but piss off

Torb

Turret is great for area denial, especially for a 24 hour mission since it can’t get tired, Torb can repair any machine teammates (Orisa, Bastion, D.va etc), if he lands one shot, a GIANT NAIL THATS MADE OF LITERAL LAVA would be very deadly, and absolutely deal a significant blow to the enemy team’s morale, torb is honestly kinda messed up man

Bastion

Insane Damage output makes him very scary as a defender, although indoor effectiveness is highly debatable, and regular heals like Mercy or Moira might not work on Omnics, If someone knows for sure lmk

Pharah

I think Pharah has 1000 rockets inside her suit, so ammunition isn’t a worry, and her ult could potentially win the challenge hands down if it’s used correctly, you just have to trust the barriers and heals at that point. basically useless on defense tho.

Rein

I think Rein is really close to S Tier, in his trailer, bullets from the omnics did about as much as pebbles being tossed at an actual knight in armor, other people in his armor also blocked multiple bastions firing at it in Bastion’s trailer so its fair to think he could too, it’s just hard to imagine what he’d do in my house to protect me, I don’t think this kind of mission is his forte

Orisa

In theory, she’s like a Rein that can shoot but can’t be healed unless you got torb with you. so just as valid

Junk

Bombs are scary, C4 is scary, dude was able to break into anything back in the day, your house doesn’t seem all too difficult, he’s a garbage body guard and also really stupid

Moira

Originally in C tier but moved to A, and her weapon was able to have armored talon troops drop to the floor within seconds of being hit by Moira, she’s much stronger in lore than the game would have you believe, could potentially be an even better Reaper depending on how her fade works compared to Reaper.

B Tier

Mei

Her ice is better at incapacitating foes than killing them and IDK any of her feats

Roadhog

I think he’s a body guard, he should be good at this but idk what he’s capable of, and I doubt he had to guard against 26 superheroes before

Symmetra

she’s changed so much that I can’t tell what she’d be able to do lore wise. turrets are good tho. Also I miss TP

C Tier

Ana

her weapon isn’t very lethal in game, she also helped coach a OW archive mission so I assume she’s good at strategy, none of her abilities seem very useful in this context

Ashe

Don’t know how good her aim is, from what I recall, she lost her duel with Mccree even with backup and B.O.B., Also I count B.O.B. as a separate person, I also think picking Ashe doesn’t give you B.O.B. but even if it did, he hasn’t accomplished much either, the only thing I can assume is he’s very durable, which nearly every other tank accomplishes and more.

Brig

Same as Rein, I just imagine her doing the same as Rein except maybe worse, I don’t know how her healing works so I’ll assume it’s more for omnics than humans, if so then maybe she’s higher with omnic focused comps, but if not, then her heals titled “Inspire” and stuff isn’t gonna cut it for this mission.

Lucio

Sorry you just got shot buddy, If it makes you feel better, I got

Zen

Pacifist and he’s got no lore, I think his heals are a placebo, so yeah

Are we doing it based on in-game stats or lore. Because I’m pretty sure lore-wise symmetra or sigma can solo everyone.

I would just grab the talon squad plus Hog. Reaper, Widow, Doomfist, Moira, Sombra and Hog. Why? Hog kept Junkrat alive all this time and Talon’s resources far exceed Overwatch’s after it has been disbanded. And half the talon squad was most likely to assassinate me anyways.

The biggest threat is what? Genji. Moira alone is enough to disgrace that clown.

Dude, Hog will just body everyone based on lore (and in game)

Exactly, that is why I picked him. I just made it even easier on him by getting rid of talon as an obstacle, but they could not show up and I would feel safe with the Notorious PIG alone.

  • Symmetra - just absolutely smother me in hard light mommy

After that, it mostly boils down to “who’s the biggest threat”.

  • Sigma - gravity powers, could crush my entire house, can also keep attackers away
  • Hanzo - Dragonstrike goes through walls
  • Widowmaker - don’t want attackers to have infra-sight, also don’t want the stress of a ranged one-shot even if I’m turtling hard
  • Sombra - can’t risk her hacking Sigma or Symmetra
  • Echo - can’t risk her turning into Sigma, Hanzo, or Sombra

Symmetra will probably be the first one to get absolutely obliterated. She’s just a weakling with a tp and knock-off Zarya beam.
