If Blizzard wanted to nix toxicity, they’d drop voicelines

What do you think putting your genitals on a corpse is? Aside from creepy?

We all know what it’s meant to convey. We know why it’s called “tea bagging”

Don’t you hardcore gamers start clutching pearls and getting all triggered and politically correct now. Tea bagging is meant to simulate you dunking your genitals on a player who cannot fight back. It’s plain as day.

Come to grips with what the action means, then you’ll easily understand why Blizzard nerfed crouching and stop asking this ridiculous question of why it’s not okay but Lucio saying “Hit me!” after a final blow is.

Blizzard nerfed crouching because people were spamming it to dodge headshots

Idk why you’re coming off as so angry about this

Lol, I’m not angry, but rather amused. I’m just stating the obvious. Gamers talk a mean game about how hard they are but then get in their feelings when you criticize the culture and some of its outdated norms. It’s like clockwork.

He says Easy as in, “slow down there bud” or “calm down”, not “lol you suck ez”. This is shown more with the fact that he also says “whoa there” and “slowdown” He’s a cowboy so he says that I guess.

…yeah, not the same thing at all, but nice try. Maybe you should stop playing the game because Widowmaker’s suit is too tight/too objectifying.

All I can assume is that you’re trolling. Poorly at that. So, toodle-oo.

Wooop!woop! SJW Alert! Woop!Woop!

It is the same thing. Y’all like being politically incorrect, but the moment anyone says your crap stinks, instead of brushing it off y’all get offended. It’s memetic at this point.

See? This is what I’m talking about. You assume I care about Widow’s aesthetic (I don’t, and even if I did it’s irrelevant) because I’m not afraid to call gaming culture immature. You’re trying to undermine me because you feel undermined. Well, you can rest easy that I didn’t have you in mind when speaking my mind.

Of course you can’t possibly believe that a gamer can look around her and see that the culture is filled with terrible people who say and do terrible things and are defended for it. You can’t possibly believe someone in a culture can criticize that culture and not feel hypocritical or shamed. Everything’s fine.

People who get upset at a video game need to work on their emotional stability.

Haha, your first mistake was thinking I care about meaningless labels from anonymous kids on the Internet. You have no power here, cowboy.

For real. Homie’s over here talking about how T-bagging is disrespectful to an animated corpse. :joy:

It’s not disrespectful to the character model. It’s disrespectful to the player, and we all know why it’s disrespectful, hence why people do it.

Let’s stop being beating around the bush with this.

First of all i am not a kid i grew up gaming i am 34yo, second i grew up getting bullied and you know what it taught me, to touhen up and dont let little things bother me, so what gamers trash talk and might call you bad names or say mean things it is just words.

What happen to “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” and tea-bagging is Assult come on my neice plays this game and she has been tea bagged my sister and i have taughter well, she just laughs and says its on, then will try and tea-bag the teabagger

Because that is not toxicity. It’s taunting the enemy players, which might put them on tilt… Which makes them easier to kill. And taunting aka Sprays, voicelines, “Tactical” crouching, you name it, have always been like that. And existed in atleast all FPS. Atleast Tac-crouching has been the most common used one. Shall we remove that to ? :v

You’re 34 years old and you talk and type like that?

Oh…oh no.

Too bad it didn’t teach you empathy, because the first thing you tried to do was call me something (you thought was) disparaging, even though I wasn’t talking to you. So miss me with this “I was a poor bullied gamer” rhetoric. You didn’t come out any better.

Indeed, what happened to it? I mean, all you have to do is say “gaming is a terrible subculture” and suddenly people are super offended.

People are snowflakes these days.

I didn’t say it was assault. I said it simulates assault. Like how shooting someone in a game simulates killing, or playing Forza simulates driving real cars. No one in real life is getting violated. But again, we all know your intent when you do it. So stop clutching pearls and be honest about what tea bagging means. Or continue playing ignorant. “I can do this all day!”

If you’re teaching your niece to teabag in a game, you’re a terrible uncle. Really setting her on a bright path there. Lmao.

Just give us the option to mute them. Not because of toxicity but because they are annoying.

No i taught not to take **** from any and learn to fight back not whine about it, and teaching her if she dishes it out she has to learn to take it as well, reallife is just as rough if not rougher then the internet and so either you get a thick skin and get tough your life is gonna suck

Lol, you don’t need to tell me how rough life is, Mr. 34 Year Old. Despite that, I still have no desire in me to have Lucio dunk his balls on another hero’s face if I get a revenge kill or final blow (mainly because he’s classier than that and would save the exposure for D.va in private); point being, being a pushover and a non-toxic player are not remotely the same thing. The fact that you think they are is the problem.

isnt taunting someone with voice lines repeatedly “simulating” harassment in the same way that crouching above someone repeatedly is “simulating” sexual assault?
do you suggest repeated use of both of these mechanics should be treated the same way (e.g bans/ extend cooldown between uses), or is there some key difference i’m missing?
