Nope. Genji has high winrate on average for all ranks than mercy. That alone should mean that 2 equally good players playing genji or mercy means genji should climb faster.

let’s slowly increase Mercy’s HP by one point every week, and also decrease Genji’s HP by one point per week until they have an equal win rate.
now go back to my scenario. do you still think Mercy will get to 4200 SR the same time as Genji?

I think the answer is, her power is tied up in Valk and Rez.
Genji can be strong all the time, Mercy is only strong when she is Rezing. (By strong, I mean, making choices which have reasonable impact on the game)
I’d like to take Valk out the back and shoot it, put Rez back on Ult, but single target.
Then you could buff the rest of her kit, so she is strong outside of Rez/Valk, while keeping her balanced.
Then more of your choices would have a bigger impact.
Bigger impact on more of your choices = more potential to change the direction the game is going.
She would be bad in the hands of bad players (hell, worse in the hands of bad players, since her day to day choices matter more), and better in the hands of good players. Which would be a good thing.

Genji’s wall climb is fast and good yes but I believe Mercy’s GA is much better mobility and Mercy shouldn’t be climbing up to high ground if her team isnt up there anway
Mypoint being Mercy doesnt NEED to climb fast like Genji she flies to her team.

Genjis power spike is when he has blade. But when you put 2 completely different characters on much lower rank where they belong the powers are gonna shift a lot. You cant equally balance everything like that.
Yeah genji can carry easier without blade WHEN hes much lower where he should be. Also mercy is not really as strong as genji. Genji has higher winrate anyways in average on all ranks.

I was just saying from a mechanics point of view. Yes they are different characters, but it is nice to be able to say what mechanics makes it work for one and not the other.
Oh, I am sure it isn’t going to happen either. It hasn’t stopped 1000 #revertMercy threads from other people either 
This was more a, how could you make it so she did have carry potential. The answer is, not with her current kit 
Sure. But if you want the same carry kits for all chars play cs:go for example. Everyone has the same potential. This is a different game and I dont really mind having a entry level healer. If they wanna play something that has higher skill ceiling. There is plenty of different chars which is why I love OW. Please lets not make every char work the same, lets make more chars so there is a char for everyone.

I have a lot of time for that, I also think it is a strong point in the game
From the number of people complaining about her build, I’m not sure they are there yet for making that character fit the people who want to play a character like that.
