What if we increase the spawn time each time you switch to a different hero (ONLY one time during the switch). For example.
Start tank 1 – 10 sec spawn time (default)
Switch to tank 2 – takes 15 sec to leave spawn
Switch to tank 3 – takes 18 sec to leave spawn
Switch to tank 4 – takes 20 sec to leave spawn
Again, this is only ONE time increase whem you switch but next death, it goes back to 10 seconds if you stay the same hero. Just thinking out loud. Thoughts?
Why should you be penalised for being hard-countered out of spawn at the start of a game? What if you are not switching to counter but rather switching to NOT be countered, which is often the case?
You come out on DVa and the enemy is on Zarya and you switch to something else because you don’t want to play into Zarya. That’s not counter-swapping, that’s common-sense.
I’d say that happens nearly as often as swapping to counter the enemy tank. You may be getting countered by another role other than tank too. You come out Monkey and they have bastion. Why should you be punished? Or you come out Monkey, then they switch bastion once they see you have monkey so you switch.

Only way to decrease “counter-swapping” is to fix the tanks so one doesn’t completely overpower another. So you can still play into your counter if you know what your doing. But instead they are just throwing blanket buffs to all tanks that make it harder for all roles to deal with them.
Yeah no… That won’t solve anything whatsoever.
Why players should suffer from bad design…twice?
Or… You know, stop forcing 5v5 to work and go back to 6v6.
