Idea for a Junkrat nerf

Also a bad idea. The idea of junk is to use surfaces to get around things. You wanting to half his damage from a bounce would make that useless. It takes a certain amount of skill to know that an enemy is hiding in a corner or where to shoot at a wall to hit behind that turtled Orisa and her team.

I don’t understand why people want Junk f-tier again.

You’re funny, his nade launcher does 120 per hit, 80 per splash. With the hilariously broken hitbox of those things literally 90% of junkrat nades thats get damage ticks are counted as direct hits.

That character alone makes the gaming experience horrible. He alone, can zone out entire lanes, indefinitely. Because of his damage shields don’t last long at all. He can’t be dived successfully often because of the near instant arming of his trap, and concussion mines. He would drastically be way more balanced if they made one of these following changes to him,
-increased the lob range of his frag launcher but reduced the nades to only being able to be bounced one single time, or exploding on impact.
-kept everything the same but halved the hitbox radius of his nades and splash damage radius.

One single character, who is NOT stationary, should no be able to zone ENTIRE lanes. That should never be a thing.

I’m not sure why you decided to necro a thread instead of making a new one but never mind.

Like, if you’re complaining about his primary, then Pharah does the same albeit with lesser splash damage but faster and more consistent.

You’re trying to make a hero that was designed to deny area, be unable to deny area as effectively.

There are heroes that are designed to keep his damage in check, D.Va who can DM, Rein shield can be busted down but that’s still a 2k barrier. Even focused fire takes some time to break it down, time that teams can use to push forward. Orisa shield time is almost in sync with Junkrat damage that by the time he’s done unloading, Orisa will always have another barrier ready. Zarya benefits from those damage AND can soak some damage for the team. Winston can dive Junkrat and force him away from his position.

As much as people like to think Junkrat counters dive, he doesn’t. He only can ward them off and if a dive decides Junkrat is the target, there isn’t much he can do.

Junkrat right now is almost in the perfect spot to be in, good enough to be used but still having enough weaknesses.
