I wonder what buffs they're giving echo?

Pretty surprising they have plans to buff her mid season. She’s already one of the stronger dps imo so not sure what they’re seeing that makes them think she needs help. Especially with the dps passive back to 20% it feels like she can shred with focus beam. Only thing I can think of is the mid season buff to tanks. Echo always had strong tank busting potential and maybe in their play testing they feel she’s lacking in this regard?

Yea idk why echo is getting buffed… she’s been my main dps for whenever I feel like actually playing the role, the hero is more than fine.

yea but that’s not even necessary. a good echo can get value out of her ult and regardless if they can or not, her basekit is great. Because if that’s the case… genji ult would need to be buffed, seeing they’ve been hiding behind the “well his basekit is good enough to compensate” argument for a while.

They saw my middling Echo’s gameplay and they are not impressed.

So they want to buff her so that i’m not too much of a dead weight.

Putting Echo in the same “needs buffs” category as Junk and Hanzo is absolutely wild.

I think the better question is WHY are they buffing one of the strongest dps. It’s like giving sojourn, tracer, or cree buffs right now. So weird.

I hate sym, but for echo to be on the buffs list instead!?!?

We both know Echo is somehow going to be buffed more than Hanzo or Junkrat…

But we’ll take the scraps. We’ll take anything :pensive:

Maybe they’ll make the mistake of letting her duplicate through barriers again instead of stopping Ana from nanoing through them.

I challenge anyone to one trick him for a week and think he doesn’t need buffs. It’s so, so painful. We’ll genuinely take anything at all.

Hey now lets not be too hasty. After he lost his combo I did predict they’d keep buffing him over and over…Which will eventually make him awful to play against for most of the playerbase and completely fail to address why he’s so bad in top ranks.

Maybe they want to increase the amount of Mercy players to pocket her? Since it is Mercy mythic BP season.

Sounds weird but this is a billion dollar company, the leads might come in and tell the devs figure out a way to increase sales of Mercy BP…

We all know Mercy picks go up when someone she synergizes very well with gets a buff.

Otherwise, is Echo not doing well in mid/low ranks? She doesn’t seem any worse than your standard Genji/sombra/tracer in my plat games.

I will still remember a Havana game where I got like 3-4 dva bombs in a single copy before they changed it to prevent remeching one while was already out
