The role queue in this game is so annoying especially for QP. I have to wait >10 mins for dps, why can’t they just make something better like League of Legend draft pick? Or make it like Wild Rift system where you can queue prioritize which role you want. It would be better for QP to just be random roles too i mean it’s qp after all.
Play open queue. Problem solved.

I’ve been giving this some thought lately. I’m not playing anymore and devs clearly don’t care for tank suffering so sure, remove it. It makes no sense to keep a hurdle meant for players that cannot be serviced, let us OW players that prefer an organized experience rather than DPS clown fiesta just play something else. It’s better to be good at being a DPS clown fiesta than bad at everything.

Trust me. Role Q is NOT worth your time. The Core game mode that this game originally had, was much better.

Problem is this game is designed with 1 or 2 tanks (and supports) being present in every team in mind. You can’t really “play” overwatch without some kind of tank. Without tanks, doomfist will probably get picked more often in every team to help them create temporary space and a “distraction” so that the hitscan DPS can safely engage.

Girl… I play that mode daily with 30 second queues. People definitely play it.

Just go play Open Queue/QPC. With all the people begging for RQ to go away on this forum, I’m sure you can get a match easily, right?

I practically only live in QPC.

I realize that and I personally prefer that, real Overwatch. But I’m not playing anymore because tanks forking suck and it’s clear will not do anything about it.
I’m just tired of this pretense that queue times will ever be decent with the current dev team. They have, at every step of the way, made tanking worse and are utterly oblivious that something even happened, so fork it, unlock the queues, let the clown fiesta rule.

Then it means role q is the more successful one.
Either way qp classic and open q comp should have shorter q times since you are not waiting for tanks to join.
The problem with open q is that q time there also become a thing as you get like above diamond mmr, cause not that much ppl are quing here in general.
I’d prefer the company go completely under and have the servers shut off than let dps players have the run of the game. Tank and support basically become completely unplayable unless the enemy mirrors your comp somewhat.
See from where I’m standing, already is unplayable so let them have it. No skin off my back anymore.

Stop getting so defensive, I wasn’t agaisnt the idea of actually having the 2-2-2 comp, I was saying that role queue takes too long and that there are better system implemented on other games.
QP should’ve stayed how it was and then comp should’ve adapted 2-2-2.
They should also put the QPC next to quick play, like they did with comp/comp open q
People are misunderstanding that I don’t want all dps team to be back, QPC is exactly like that. What I want is assigned role where it’s randomized or can be prioritized an you can switch with other people.
